It does make me smile to see people who are attending are often saying their reason is “because nobody will tell me what to do” and “because I want to”.

Taking a stand against taking a stand because they don’t want to feel like they’ve been told to take a stand lol

Maybe the next protest should be to tell people they must attend? There will be thousands of empty seats presumably with those who are too self important to be seen to follow what others have suggested.

Maybe reverse psychology could be the next boycott mechanism?

It will also be reflective of the weather conditions, could be -4, also the later KO time with kids back at school and people with work commitments

We were still filling the ground when the club was doing well despite these conditions. If the club was doing well, people would overcome those issues and attend. The poster's point is valid.

If the organisers said "come in early and stay late for the Oxford game", the same people that are going out of spite tonight would stay at home. It's insanity.

Looks like the club is joining in the boycott my digital tickets just updated for a game on January 11th wiping out tonight’s ticket. Anyone else seeing this issue?

Can’t boycott if you don’t have a ticket

Weird shit going on with the ticket systems at the moment (another thing not working as it should)....

They sent me a reminder I was going to Sheffield United at home the night before Sheffield United away.

Seems they are that desperate for revenue they are trying to get bums on seats at the King Power even if the games in Sheffield.

Probably better show watching the groundsman at work than the shit we put out on the Sheffield United pitch

Seeing more and more fans on social media saying it’s just the “young” & “spoilt” fans kicking up a fuss.

You don’t have to be ancient to remember our relegation to the third tier.

Tisdale and the Celtic manager have left then.

So protests do work?

Also losing 6 of 8 and then losing one of the biggest derbies in Europe at home despite leading at half time probably helps

Feels more like Tisdale becoming the Boards fall guy on the back of the protest after the game yesterday. Celtic fans have wanted him gone for more than 8 games ago

I've looked up today the last time Sheffield United did the double over us - in living memory and not a very good conclusion to that season

I'll take it as a compliment if they think I'm young! ;)

That's very well put together and straight to the point.

How anyone can disagree with that, or just dismiss it because the same KP were part of (not solely responsible for) a successful period is beyond me.

If the “we are where we are” brigade can’t read that and somewhat agree, then it’s clear they know absolutely nothing about football.

I'll tell you now they can't and they don't!

You just know the official line on any drop in attendance tonight will be ‘because of the weather’

Yep, Anthony already teeing it up with that post.

Irritates me when certain section of the fanbase churn out the old "we always were a yo-yo club" line with the condescending claim that younger supporters are just spoiled by, let's face it, some pretty outrageous successes over the last 10 years. I have the feeling some are almost comforted, or at least too ready to accept, a return to the days of yore, willing to overlook the utterly shambolic stewardship of the club that has overseen such an incredible drop off and wasted an opportunity to cement our place somewhere close to the top of the football pyramid.

I for one don't care much for PL football. It's boring. But not having sustained access to it's riches doesn't bode well for the future. I fear the writing is very much on the wall, which is all we seem to have in light of the deafening silence from the club.

Same again for Oxford on the 24th? Whenever the Happy Cl...oops, sorry, don't want to offend anyone, cant find a way to spin it that boycott's are pointless and blame the low attendance on weather, date, time, airspeed velocity of unladen swallows.

Then again, whilst we are playing shite, the attendances will drop themselves.
