Gazza M Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 We are a mid table side. We might win 2 in a row. But then expect a shite result. Personally think we will take a point. 1 each. 1

I do enjoy us beating Derby, but unfortunately the way I view it, is we shouldn’t even be playing Derby unless it’s friendly or a cup. We shouldn’t below Coventry in the league……. Everything that we’re witnessing on the pitch, in the stands behind the scenes is unnecessary, and it’s self inflicted of the careless people we have running sorry ruining this football club. So all of that leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, and I just can’t enjoy days like yesterday knowing another unnecessary disappointment is around the corner. There’s a real sense of entitlement in this post 4 3

Bert Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 Don’t think there will be many hopefuls of a result here. Calum O’Hare will score his usual goal against us and it’s likely Tom Cannon bags against us again. Zero chance we keep a clean sheet here. Would say we will need to score at least twice for any hope of a result. 4

No Ramsey, Hamza, or Bobby Reid(?) who seemed to be hobbling at the end. A draw would be decent. No Hamza is no bad thing
CrazyKopCorner Posted 31 December 2025 Posted 31 December 2025 Definite defeat this one. All the hallmarks of a capitulation. Raucous crowd, their team on a good run, injuries for us ...... it'll be excuses galore and a defeat by 2 clear goals +
coolhandfox Posted 31 December 2025 Posted 31 December 2025 We are going to bumble along as we have all season win one lose a few, win one, so expecting that to continue and we will lose here.
cruzFOX Posted 31 December 2025 Posted 31 December 2025 I saw some Graft & resilience for 90 min last nite that had been missing games prior and that might be the key in turning a corner and stringing some wins together. It’s been so low I’m just trying to be positive that’s all. Sure we may not be good enough as a team but it’s something to build on. Faith in Our youngsters might be the key. Let’s see if we can get a result against the blades. Def need a 3 goal cushion in games to make it more comfortable.

He is better alongside Skipp, deeper. Obviously injury questions over BDR and Ramsey but Page if not them. Otherwise looks ok. Happy for Monga in. Aluko and Ricardo should be rotating at right back more rather than using Choudhury there who is not a full back. I was impressed by Silko when he came on against Derby. I don’t know if he is equipped to lead the line, or start in that position yet. But we are hardly blessed with options there.
Claudio Fannieri Posted 31 December 2025 Posted 31 December 2025 Going to be a really tough game especially given the knocks we have picked up, means that Marti may have to turn to a lot of younger, inexperienced players for a game against an improving Sheffield United in what will be an intimidating atmosphere. We will need to be brave and patient as it could be a real backs to the wall type of game but longer term this kind of test will be good grounding for the likes of Aluko, Page, Monga, Thomas etc if included/called upon

How annoyed were you when we finished 5th in the prem? We're you a)happy, b)annoyed or c)enraged?
AyewJoking Posted 31 December 2025 Posted 31 December 2025 I never know if they're going to turn up, have a go, get lucky or stink the place out. Its exciting 1

What kind of question is this? 5th In the PL or mid table in this god awful league? What would you rather do? A kick in the nuts or winning the lottery?
Swarles Barkley Posted 31 December 2025 Posted 31 December 2025 We’ve gone a game without the defence doing something stupid so we’re due one
Stuntman_Mike Posted 31 December 2025 Posted 31 December 2025 Don't fancy us here at all, but you never know. They've got goals in them and we're weak. I'm going 3-1 to them. Okoli to make some kind of cock up and James to score a consolation.
Aleksz Posted 31 December 2025 Posted 31 December 2025 We lose this, beat West Brom. Round and round we go.
Bablemikey Posted 31 December 2025 Posted 31 December 2025 Wouldn’t be surprised to see the youngsters get a start here. I suspect there’s some very tired legs .

I distinctly remember some people being livid that we had 'blown' 4th place and champions league football. I was just wondering if you were one of them?

We blew Champions League football whilst paying players the sorts of wages as if they Champions League regulars.

When done right football is peaks and troughs, otherwise you lose the emotional journey. 2
Chelmofox Posted 31 December 2025 Posted 31 December 2025 For f4cks sake will you all grow a pair of balls. Everyone is dog shit in this league. Everyone is there for the taking, including us. Lets not pretend this bunch of plonkers are anything special. O'Hare might get something against us but then its also likely he's going to be out on the lash all night. Cannon is utter garbage and only scored a shit goal against us because everyone forgot how to kick a ball in the first minute (Winks kicking mid air - lol). These were proper w4nk in the 2nd half against us and nearly threw the game away. If we turn up, we get something. Most likely both teams dont turn up and its a sh1te game thats there for anyone. But predicting a clobbering - come on! Happy new year 2

I distinctly remember some people being livid that we had 'blown' 4th place and champions league football. I was just wondering if you were one of them? Ah I see, I wasn’t livid no….. because we were competing and we were playing some exceptional football. That was a case of the £100m spent by those “big teams” paid off when it needed too, Chelsea for example could throw on someone who probably wasn’t living up to their value, but could produce one or two moments when it mattered to get them over the line, whereas we have 13/14 very strong players, and then the rest were good squad fillers, so there would naturally be an opportunity to slip, plus injuries made it difficult for us. So I was quite happy with where we were. I’d take finishing 17th in the premier league constantly over this….. the PL maybe corrupt and somewhat overhyped….. but by god it’s a damn site better than this…. Theres nothing remotely nice or pleasurable watching your team struggle against the likes of Preston…. But for me I will maintain until the cows come home, we shouldn’t even be here… we’ve been out here thanks to our useless and incompetent leadership. 1
