This is already being discussed elsewhere, no need for a thread for it (sorry).

Fair enough. Didn’t spew that and just assumed transfer talk belonged in the transfer section. My bad

And why would you think this? A lesson in assuming there for you

Knowing how tone deaf the club it's quite likely that this plan involves Rennes recalling him and selling him to someone like Wolves.

Do we plan to sell Fatawu to pay for James? If so we'll fanny around until the end of the window, trying to make an extra 50p. Balance to go on polo horses, which makes a change from donkeys I suppose.

Wonder what this could be? Sounds promising though? Maybe activating the clause early?

TBF Why would Marti even say that, just manage the club better mate and shut up with the press BS sound bites.
If he stays here on loan & scores 15 by season end, a Prem club will snap him up.

I'd have thought that selling Fatawu this summer is very much the plan.

With the profits pay for James, a left back and a striker and let Monga have a much bigger role.

I think we'd probably be in a better position afterwards if they can get a striker and left back that is at least of reasonable quality. Currently they're two massive holes in the team.

I think so.  There isn’t any player out there that we can afford that will replicate some of the things Fatawu can do. But if we can use the money to  buy JJ and a winger who is a bit more consistent, then we have to take that, really..

Can't see why JJ would want to stay really given the state we're in.

There will be far more appealing offers for him if he doesn't agree any personal terms.

I think he will, I can’t imagine anyone will pay him what we will, I can see us selling Fatawu and signing James. Then probably send Ramsey back and get a few other loans in.

His career has been very up and down but he seems like he’s finally found a club that value him in us.
agreed we are a mess but he’s actually one of the only players that looks pleased to be here.

Surely we would use the Bilal money we get

Typically with these deal the terms are agreed when they originally signed.

it won’t be his decision

I think Marti said that we are keeping Ramsay.

I don’t see the point, lad can’t stay fit?

I'm wondering if the loan agreement doesn't have a return clause in it. Nothing that rudkin does would surprise me.

Might not be up to us.

How Leicester would it be to negotiate a loan deal without any break clauses in a deal for possibly the most injury prone player in the country?

It's like Rudkin doesn't understand we can have our input in deals

Devil’s Advocate here. There might have been a lot of competition and maybe that’s how we won it? Plus having him (in theory) coming to a promotion challenger, would be what Burnley would have wanted.

Saying that, we knew he was a sick note. So probably is on us! Might have been a small bet though

Seems unlikely there was lots of competition given he went out on loan on deadline day.

We just can’t give the club the benefit of doubt in these situations - look at the Edouard deal

I suppose he is playing every week, scoring goals and starting for Wales. But he will need to see that the club has plans to progress going forward. He is going to need  some quality in midfield to support him or he will get frustrated
