Except for the second halfs of matches.

Or when he’s actually required to do something

How can you name Nelson but not Ricardo and Okoli?

Nelson was an absolute shambles second half (after a really good first half). Okoli's moments were last ditch dealing with situations which should never have arisen.

I've got no doubt about Nelson's quality on the ball, his weight of pass is sublime, but he looks like still has a lot of developing to do defensively.

Fair. I don’t know why Ricardo gets such a pass from fans. Yes he is a good pro and been fantastic in the past for us but now he is a liability. Not to Thomas extremes but still a weak link.

I was thinking whilst the game was on, that it’s amazing how far he’s fallen really. You’d argue at one time, he’d have been considered an elite Premier League right back.

We lost that game when Ayew decided to turn it into a fight with all his stupid antics and hand-bags with players and trying to get fouls. We lost the momentum and flow we had from that point on and the outcome was then inevitable. Clown.

We have a love affair with soft goals.

Playing out the back once again, thinking we are some Spanish super giants.

Ricardo at fault for the first.

Momentum just changed after that.

You could tell Wright was going to score, the minute he stood on the sidelines. He had that aura, of strikers instincts.

When Fatwu, Ayew and Mavididi get the ball. I just expect nothing to happen. I mean, what are the odds of making so many wrong decisions.

Id love anyone to tell me how Okoli is in anyway better than Vestergaard

Vestergaard isn't a defender. He a massive lump that can pass the ball from the back, on his own terms.

Okoli can defend, but has the mentality of a 12 year old boy who is getting bullied at school. Okoli never learned to pass the ball.

Just because Vestergaard isn't starting doesnt mean he wasnt responsible for lots of conceded goals this season. They are both poor, but as a club we need to planning for the future and that future doesnt involve Vestergaard. We can get some sort of resale for Okoli - but nother for Vestergaard.

My point is more than as bad as Ricardo can be, he never gets mentioned due to positive bias whereas others get called out for less.

Ricky P wasnt great but he the violent head shaking as he walked past Marti as he came off suggests he is as fed up as the rest of us

Maybe - but he has to take a long hard look at himself. So many times he is given the ball with time / space and he is punting it nowhere.

He is always shaking his head. At fault for the first. I ain't no Marti fan, but he has been poor this season.

Special shout-out to both sets of fans today, quiet 90% of the game and too busy throwing child-botherer accusations at one another to watch the game. Absolutely dreadful atmosphere apart from them making a bit of racket after their late winner. Proper weirdo two rows back from us who looked like Curly from Coronation Street and fell for the bait all game, to the point we had to tell him to shut up or f off home. Cov have some proper wronguns in their weird fanbase, but today was a penny drop moment for me that we're honestly not much better.

Also still sat at the ground as there are fights out in the road we're supposed to be leaving via. It's like watching the changing of the guard, just with extra fingers.

As for the football? Meh. I was raging when we lost this one under Maresca, but I've honestly had the life beaten out of me so much over the past two years that it's... whatever. Same shit, different week. :dunno:

Not doubting his character. But as a right back, get out to your man and stop putting your defence under pressure by giving opposition the freedom to put balls into the box and stroll into the area without challenge.

Not straight away. The first half was spot on. I'm referring to how they came out for the second half. After a Marti team talk.

Fair play if you could spot a pattern during the 2 minutes you're talking about, but I'd suggest our problem was one team not coming out fully 'awake' and the other being fired up. This obviously isn't a great look for Cifuentes either, buy I didn't see anything to suggest we were trying to sit on a lead.

TBH I'm only pushing this because one of the few things good about our performance today versus previous games was precisely that we didn't sit back as soon as we went ahead. Quite the opposite.

Called it for weeks. So utterly predictable. They're wobbling and were no good today, but we do just enough to give them the jolt of life their season was crying out for.

No doubt we'll stink it up when we play Ipswich and Middlesbrough but spawn a goal to give Cov another helping hand they need.

This team is just useless, a reflection of owner.

Just think Okoli is another one linked with teams like AC Milan.

How did we end up with a squad that has agents lining up moves to Monaco, AC Milan and Sevilla and they can be 4-0 down to QPR half time?

Another one half performance.  It’s obvious Marti has no in game management or influence. Coventry were ordinary at best, but it’s the feebleness that has infected the Team that is so frustrating. It was the way that we gifted them two soft goals that should be  enough to see him sacked. I don’t feel sorry for Marti at all. He took the job, gets paid more than any of us could dream of and should be sacked this evening without doubt!

Its 5 years too late for that. Chilwell, Barnes, and the rest were all given loan spells at this level to toughen them up and give them chance to learn and bulk up before they were put in the team. Thomas had two years in the top flight before we loaned him out. Boro and Sheff U couldn't get him back quick enough. Fvck him off to Carlisle or Blackpool, 102 games is enough, he's utter gash, even in this mickey mouse league.

He's going to end up staying here for another year or two and eventually loaned to League two whilst we pay all or 90% of his wages.

No one will pay anything for him at this level and there's not a chance any teams from League One will even bother enquiring.
