And now whoever takes over brings back the unwanted players and we start the cycle again.

Seemed a decent enough chap but he was an uninspiring choice with uninspiring football.

Promised a lot but delivered absolutely nothing.

Club had their hand forced. KP natives getting more and more restless and the utterly abject performances becoming more frequent

This could be Soumare’s moment he needs a new manager to play to his considerable strengths

Buffets, long lazy walks and having the turning circle of a roundabout?

You know that Winks will come back and look amazing for the first game.

Then average 2nd, dog turn 3rd.

Its the Winksy way.

Coventry are doing brilliantly by just attacking quickly,  we have all the players to break and get through teams at speed.

What Speed. I've seen Pensioners run quicker than some of ours. Just have a look at Hamza trying to chase back yesterday after giving the Ball away.

Fitness is a must have to have any success.

I wonder if Winks was out because he told Cifuentes he was sh*t. He might actually play for another manager.

“All the lads have trained well this week, listen, they will all get a fresh slate under me to see what they are about - this is an incredibly talented group and where we find ourselves in the league isn’t reflective of the quality we have in the squad”

Rinse and repeat

We have no idea what the club can do in the summer in terms of building a side, unless theres been some revelations in today's interview.

We deffo need signings, you can't rely on 34/35 year olds who are shortly out of contract playing 90 minutes 3 games a week, and you certainly can't rely on 17 year olds to do the same.

All the new manager needs to do is show they'll do whatever it takes to get as many points as possible, and right now i think it's long balls and squeeze up the pitch, crosses into the box and get aggressive.

We need to stop with the stupidity of things like passing back to the keeper from kick off, who boots it anyway, whats the point of that? You may as well pass to the defender who is already further up the pitch and then boot it up.

We need a manager who demands work rate from those that can, who can stop  abdul coming deep facing the wrong way, a manager who's not afraid to try different unfashionable formations if it gets a better performance out of the players

I don’t get the pile-on for Marti. He seems like a totally decent guy. He just wasn’t good enough. That’s on us for appointing him. In a difficult set of conditions, he seems to have given it his all. Sadly, his all was nowhere near the level we needed. Personally, I hope he goes on to have success elsewhere and wish him well.

This!

Once again, the entire process around this is just an utter farce and a disgrace.

You see the tweets like this:

This tells me this was all done on a whim again. I don't think it's exaggerating to say that if we had lost to Stoke in November when he was over then, that Cifuentes would've been sacked the next day. It is no exaggeration to say if Jordan James doesn't get injured at Wrexham, that Cifuentes' job today is under zero threat.

This club operates for about 10% of the year. Jon Rudkin is a puppet who offers absolutely nothing to the club except for being the one people will go after because they don't have the same unconditional love for him as they do the owner.

The club literally does not operate off the pitch unless Aiyawatt is in the country - which he rarely is.

They have not planned for any of this. They never do. They totally wing everything they do.

Look at the summer. We were relegated to this league (sorry, confirmed our status) on 20th April 2025. The third club to be confirmed as a Championship club for 2025/26 after Southampton and Birmingham City. When Marti Cifuentes was appointed, every other club in the division had a manager. Danny Rohl then did leave Sheffield Wednesday.

So the 3rd club in the league to have our status in the league confirmed, which is a big advantage over a lot of teams. Yet the 23rd team in the division, beating only an exceptional case in Sheffield Wednesday to have a manager in place.

They have no care whatsoever for this club. Absolutely none.

I hear today that he's done an interview with Radio Leicester. Just like the video from Thailand, I shall not be consuming a second of it. I have absolutely no interest in their 'plan' (there isn't one) or what they intend to do to fix this. There is only one fix, and it's ensuring he's gone. Every single effort on every matchday should be put towards reaching this goal.

Can't understand why this doesn't have loads of likes. Absolutely on the money. You're bang on that the club simply isn't run 80%-90% of the time. It's a ****ing disgrace.

That’s three managers were presumably still paying off - cooper, RVN, and Marti - all for about 5 months work on 2 or 3 year contracts.

we really need the next guy to last longer and half a season

They fired Ruud for a guy who tried to insert square pegs into round holes - and then gave him no support on top of that. So now add Marti to the list of managers they're paying. This organization is run by idiots. No one who isn't deparate for a job would take on this debacle.  So it's either going to be someone like that - or someone so loyal to the club that they won't say no.  But anyone who takes on this job is stepping into a no win situation and hoping for an amazing amount of luck.

He was dealt a shit hand, but he played it badly.

Goodnight, sweet Spanish Prince.  lol

Having the most expensive squad in the league is hardly a shit hand…

And you’re right… He should’ve got a better tune out of the squad

I hate the manager merry go round thing, but this feels like the right move

This bollocks AGAIN.  The squad we assembled was horrifically over priced, that's our fault not Marti's. He is still not good enough though.

It was an inevitable decision and needed to be made as he was incapable of getting enough out of this squad. I found his stubbornness in relation to how we played and tactical set up hugely frustrating however he seemed a very decent bloke who gave it his all but just not good enough.

Yep agreed

decent bloke

The Spanish Steve Cooper

another good man  however just not good enough for this group of players

Or maybe he thinks he’s too good for us and doesn’t put in the required effort and has been sussed out by

the last two managers.
