It amazes me how quick fans jump on a player or selection of players when the going gets tough and they are not performing - it's going great when the kid is knocking in a hat-trick against Southampton, or setting up Vardy in his first game in the Prem, or scoring from inside his half, but we are quick to forget all the good. I think people forget Fatawu only turned 22 in March, has recovered from an ACL injury which could have easily claimed his career, he has pushed himself since he was a kid to get to where he is and people jumping on his back every 5 seconds, how is that going to help him? One of the biggest problems is we have spent the last 12 years depending on one man getting us out of the sh*t, now he's gone, i think some fans earmarked Fatawu to be the next hero and it hasn't gone to plan. He will leave Leicester and I am sure have an impact wherever he goes, as long as he is coached properly, something he only had when working under Maresca. 7

From what i saw, Fatawu got a lot of love from the fans, and regardless what he did, i never heard anything other than some mild disgruntled mumorings towards him. Distance yourself from the fans and turn them against you and you are on a slippery slope. The majority of last season’s team did little to endear themselves either in their effort, their displays or their arrogant attitude towards the club and its supporters. I’ve been a supporter for 70 years and have never known it as bad as last season and there have been some pretty lean times. The difference is those players gave their all on the pitch, the problem is they weren’t very good but nobody could criticise their commitment. The same could not be said about this current crop. I totally agree that the entire squad put their guard up towards the end of the season and the attitude stunk, for example Winks at Portsmouth lashing out. This does all root back to recruitment and the up-above mis-management

We'd be wise to include a future sell-on percentage, but probably don't have much bargaining power (and probably not a lot of bidders). Have a feeling he'll end up at one of the newly promoted teams and we'll hopefully be playing him in the league in 2027/28... If I were him I'd go abroad.
