Start him up front and there'd actually be someone to try and get on the end of any crosses/passes Mavididi and Fatawu manage to get into or just ahead of the box...seems a very simple thing to test out... 2

We're already going to have to play with guys who's commitment is questionable so we absolutely cannot allow even more players who cannot be bothered at all to feature. Aribo wasn't great but he was miles better than Winks. Page is much better option too Aribo won’t be available 1
Gazza M Posted 7 February Posted 7 February Begovic Aluko Lascelles Nelson VK Fatawu Skipp Winks Mavadidi Richards Daka Back to basics please. Vesty and Thomas to likely replace Lascelles and VK on the hour. 2

PhillippaT Posted 7 February Posted 7 February As my wife said - we're so shit the rest of the league can use us as fertilizer I don't see that changing with Southampton atm... 1

TrentFox Posted 8 February Posted 8 February Yes. But as this game kicks off before the 9pm watershed, they’ve pulled it so as not to unnecessarily alarm any young children that may access it.
fox_favourite Posted 8 February Posted 8 February Sod it. Not bothering with this one. Can't be bothered to waste my evening watching a pathetic group of men fail at their job. What's the actual point in going? If we can't beat Oxford and Charlton we have no chance against Southampton. I'm glad the next 3 (including the pointless fa cup game) are away. I don't even have to debate going. 1
LCFCJohn Posted 8 February Posted 8 February Eugh do we have to play again…just end the season now and put us out of our misery. Interesting there seems to be a consensus about the back 4. I suppose with Ricardo and Thomas not resembling professional footballers, there’s limited options. 1
frany104 Posted 8 February Posted 8 February We’ve got to try something different. Play 3-5-2 and at least try and keep a clean sheet. What’s the point in persisting with the same old formation and tactics when it’s bringing no results.
adejo92 Posted 8 February Posted 8 February (edited) Something has got to change up top, even if thats playing someone out of position. You can't persist with Daka / Ayew, its literally 10 men. One of the wide men HAVE to be more effective up front. Genuinely, what have we got to lose giving it a go? Edited 8 February by adejo92 2
Rubbersoul Posted 8 February Posted 8 February I said it in his thread but Aluko needs to start RB every single game now. What do we have to lose? We’re already utter shit. Yesterday he made a slight error and bombed back to make a tackle within seconds. Bare minimum I know, but how many of the senior “pros” show that sort of effort at the moment? 1

Win a game of football????? Hard to pick an eleven when there’s little faith in the majority to even put a shift in. I’d go with…. Begovic Kristansen Nelson Lascelles Aluko Skipp Winks Mukasa Mavididi Fatawu Daka 🤷♂️ We'd struggle with 12. 1
Pliskin Posted 8 February Posted 8 February Begovic Aluko Lascelles Nelson Victor Page Skipp Fatawu Mukasa Monga Richards Has to be the team for me. Ricardo is done, Thomas is simply not good enough, Winks needs removing from the squad all together, he doesn’t want to be here. Mukasa looked alright when he came on, Mavadidi is another who just needs taking out the team, let’s just stay playing Monga week on week out, we’ve got an incredible talent just sat on the bench not having a chance to play. Mavadidi offers nothing, so we lose nothing playing Monga. Richards looks like a physical presence, big, strong and looks quick and confident, something neither Ayew or Daka have. Oh and an experienced coach wouldn’t go amiss. 3
LeePhilpottsBaldSpot Posted 8 February Posted 8 February We don't have the players to make 4-2-3-1 work. Every time I post it people laugh at me, but I think we should switch to a 5 at the back to solidify things. Begovic Nelson Lascelles (c) Okoli Aluko. Kristiansen Aribo Skipp Winks Mukasa Daka (/Richards) The division is rank and if we stopped conceding 2+ every game we'd actually pick up some points. 1
Tommy Fresh Posted 8 February Posted 8 February Having 11 on the pitch at the end will be an improvement 1

I wonder if it might be a late addition though, I assumed Sky just use the club feeds so don’t see why they can’t cover it.

Yep, that’s the team, fed up with people saying Monga doesn’t do much with his opportunities yet Mavididi is allowed quiet game after quiet game without repercussions regarding his place. More reliable full backs and although I hear he’s more of a winger we can’t go on picking tweedle dumb or tweedle dumber who just don’t affect the game so Richards is worth a look. 1
