Vastly experienced and not atrocious. Anyone disappointed with this move is totally detached from reality. Rowett is the best we were going to do given how toxic the job is. Is he as mid as it gets? Yes - and for LCFC right now, that's like A-5 Kobe beef, not hamburger. His one job is to keep us up and there was nobody more likely to do it who was going to take the job.

Survive. Stay in the Championship until some miracle happens and Top has to sell the team, or somehow a competent DoF gets hired. Then you can get a better manager.

I am disappointed but not detached from reality.
I think you can be disappointed with Rowett coming in but get why we’re having to employ a manager we wouldn’t have even thought of 6 months ago.
The fact Rowett is here means the reality is we’re in an absolute state and probably in danger of being relegated and going out of business thats the reality.

Am I right in thinking that he hasn't actually signed yet?  I'm not going to get too excited until it's a done deal.

I love the fact, that if it happens, it's actually a sensible decision, but one the board have essentially been backed into making.

My gut feeling, is if we had appointed rowett in the summer we’d be in a better position than we are now. Whether I is going to work I don’t know. His career win percentage is 39% I think. That 5/6 wins out of 14 which might just be enough.

Percy is usually right though potter to cooper happened in a 24 hour period and I’m sure it was Percy that broke the news about potter.

You can get us at 4/1 for the Boro match, next week.

It's probably wishful thinking but a bit of new manager bounce, them looking bad last night and as bad as we are, we can squeak the odd result.

Anyone fancy losing £20?

Sounds like the 3+ week wait was devoted entirely to sending love letters to Enzo then. Oh well. Only a few games thrown. 🤦‍♂️

Are we going to officially announce it at any point, or are we going to eff this up as well?

Every other club gets a new manager bounce.  Why not us?

One of the much maligned Peter Taylor's better signings of his inaugural season IF he gets the job - who'd have thunk it?!

He has 3 days to kick some arse and shore up our defence tall order I know but I will take a draw from this.

No that was Fabrizio Romano regarding Potter.  Percy informed us of Cooper.

If King can't get a tune out of them what is Rowett going to do ?

Regardless of our opinions of Rowett, he’s a more established league manager/coach than king. His credentials are questionable, but he’s got more experience than King at this level as a coach.

It's not one of his preferred formations. So I doubt it.

His most played formation is 4-2-3-1, followed by 4-3-3. The main difference between him and Cifuentes is that Rowett places heavy emphasis on a compact, organised defence rather than playiing out from the back and inverting full backs, etc. But the formation itself will be what the team is used to.

If it is to be Rowett then I’m more than happy to give him a chance. We’re not in any position to be snobby about who manages us. He’s got balls of steel to take this shit show of a squad on, fair ****s to him.

Usually we wait a month to appoint a manger and the bounce goes flat before they arrive.

Which is not very long

Depends.  Ask Enzo, Cooper, Marti or Ruud.

I think the original question related to last permanent manager who was an ex-player.  Andy King being interim
