Who else should we have brought in then?

First off, I would have sacked Cifuentes much earlier when Carrick was available.

I'm not the DoF so its not my job to collate a list of potential hires. Thats on the club's sporting department and scouting process.

Aluko has to start on the left. Thomas is genuinely thee worst footballer I have seen in years at this club, and there’s been a fair few. Either that or go 3-5-2 and get rid of the fullbacks completely. Neither option will happen though.

We definitely don't have wing backs though. We've got 2 fit senior full backs and they're both very easy to get at. I don't mind throwing Aluko in, but I'm not convinced he improves the the position. I don't actually know there is a solution to this issue that improves the situation. It is very painful having to witness it every week though lol

If you go Aluko and Hamza as full backs, we increase the athleticism maybe you roll the dice on those 2. But we've seen Hamza at full back enough to know that he will gift plenty of chances to the oppo. Aluko only seen a handful of times and while I like the idea of developing youth, I wouldn't expect him to improve us at full back this season, so if you're willing to take that risk then fair enough, but it needs to be accepted that he'll likely cost us goals as well.

Would you believe Thomas is our second for assists in our team? haha.

So our recruitment process would have gone pretty much like it did if we had you in charge.

So much gets said about us signing 2 defenders who played for Southampton in the 9-0 so I’ve always been surprised at how many on here would take the manager of that side as well.

Don’t think he’s as bad manager but always found it funny

A team losing every game and suddenly draws Vs Stoke, Middlesbrough and Ipswich is a big improvement in very little time. We have terrible players, he's done okay so far. No idea where you think we are as a club at this moment

Very likely dealing with itnerference from above as well.

Those expecting a new manager to fix all the problems at the club arent being realistic, it remains, Top and Rudkin out, until then everything will be a mess.

4 matches and zero wins. This is the fella people were saying is good enough for the job.

How can you be Top and Rudkin out but Rowett in? Rowett makes that PE teacher from Lincoln City look like Pep.

Rudkin has brought in yet another dud of a manager and you're all lapping it up.

It's obvious he wasn't our first choice, because he was available in December, therefore I image he's the only manager that would join us.

That being said, I still believe if we appointed him instead of Kingy we would have had a win by now.

Jury is still out. Two good results in Middlesbrough and Ipswich. Two bad ones in Stoke and Norwich. I just don't think anything has 'really' changed a great deal. We had games like yesterday under Cifuentes but it's not a surprise because we're playing a nearly identical team and formation.

I can only really believe there's been an upturn after the next game. If we win that then there has been. If there hasn't then there hasn't. It's really pretty simple.

Even though we haven't won yet, in his four games in charge we have only lost once which is mass improvement leading to his appointment. Stopped the losing streak and managed to get points off two teams who are second and third in the league away. Still in a mess but I do feel progression is there, but until we win we're still hopeless. I like to think that first win will be a huge spring board too boost confidence and begin a good run.

He can’t be here in the long run unfortunately. He is too happy to be in the job which means he will be open to influence from ‘the top’.

The reason Maresca did so well was because of his strong personality. Every other manager since bar RvN has just been happy to be here and its showed.

3 points from 4 games. Is it an improvement?  End of the day, we carry on with that points average for the rest of the season we are gone.

I dont think we can really be that choosy. We wont have a line of top managers queuing up to be our manager, we are a dreadfully unattractive club to manage under this useless owner and board. Rowett being about the best we can hope for long term, does hammer home how fall we have fallen.

Nobody is suggesting that a continuation of that points average will lead to anything other than relegation. What some people are pointing out is that Rowett has had a tough set of games to start with and he has only lost one of them. There has also been a very clear improvement in defensive shape and resilience in those three drawn games. It won't mean anything if we fail to back it up with home wins, but it is a start.

I think you only have to watch added time against Ipswich to see the difference. Whether it will be enough is another thing entirely. If we're still conceding a goal a game then we need this lot to find two from somewhere which is asking a lot lol

He's doing absolutely all he can with what he has. We still have no striker and he's been without a fully fit, starting JJ too.

I think Mukasa and JJ start tomorrow and i'm looking forward to seeing what that could potentially lead to.

Who do you think JJ comes in for?

Dyche said he received top level offers since being sacked, probably us and WBA

Rules us out then

I think Skipp could do with a game off to be honest, or more likely 60/70 mins off. I can't see him dropping Winks, think he's another manager who likes him.

I think that was most likely Burnley sounding him out. Given Spurs went with Tudor I wouldn't be surprised if they'd spoke to him too given they don't seem to care about style of play right now.

He said offers, not much chance he would turn down spurs
