Have they been listening to the IRCG, I wonder? So Winks will kip over now and Vestergaard will leave his pets at home? The only time I uttered those words “I declare my respect, devotion and obedience” it was to a leather clad Madame Whiplash. 1

I think Winks is keen to get on the ball and play his little 5-10 yard passes but where have you seen him putting effort in to stop runners going beyond him? On the ball Winks looks busy. I think it's because it makes him look better on the tele or to potential suitors come the transfer window. But actually watch him when we need to defend and he's static. He regularly watches people run past him and i've seen sumo wrestlers move quicker when a ball is played over his head. It's "alright" when a player is providing important contributions to the team but he isn't. A strong club would have banished him to the reserves months ago. Wasn’t he banished to the reserves months ago? Does that make us a strong club?
splinterdream Posted 9 March Posted 9 March Jakub Ricardo lascelles Nelson thomas Winks Skipp BDCR James Mukasa Daka Bring on abdul, mavididi, aribo and aluko at 60 for Ricardo, James, BDCR, Daka, move mukusa to false 9. Use okoli for lascelles if required

Spudulike Posted 9 March Posted 9 March We should, must win this. We know it, the players know it, the club knows it. Anything else will be another disaster. For this reason our players will bottle it. We've got the t-shirt. We know how this ends.
J.Lisemore Posted 9 March Posted 9 March All on the players now. Will Mavididi look half interested? Can Thomas go a game without being skinned numerous times? Will Daka have another shot on target? Can we go through 90 minutes without gifting a goal to the opposition? 3

The Toxicity is generated when they don't run. Really, there is nothing stopping players running other than their own minds, if they cant do that its on them. Its one of the reasons people have been more patient with say Daka than Ayew, Daka you could never really say doesnt try. Our new manager was welcomed by hundreds protesting before his first game. The atmosphere is terrible before, during and after every home game. The players, managers and execs have been shit and I'm as angry as anyone, but during a match I 100% want them all to do well. Sadly we have quite a few "supporters" who call anyone who wants to support the club a happy clapper, and anyone who doesn't just wallow in constant self pity and misery 'KPFC'. 2 1

Ric Flair Posted 10 March Posted 10 March Futile me suggesting 3-4-2-1 I know but currently we're having to play at least one horrifically out of form player in Mavididi or Bobby Reid and we might as well play with 10 men. How we haven't tried something markedly different under 3 different regimes in a pursuit of breaking this vile record of no clean sheets is beyond me. I also think such a formation takes the pressure off Fatawu who can graft rather than be expected to create which at the minute just isnt happening and the athleticism of Aluko is badly needed in a cumbersome team. But here we are. Stolarczyk Aluko (it'll be Hamza) Okoli Nelson Thomas James (it'll be Winks) Skipp Fatawu Reid (shame Page played for the U21s) Mukasa (it'll be Mavididi) Daka 3

CrazyKopCorner Posted 10 March Posted 10 March Heart just sank as I remembered we're playing at home tonight. We've got a Bristol office and I've already taken a couple of calls about what the **** is happening with us. Exceptionally early night incoming

Probably slightly more 4-5-1 the majority of the game when defending. In reality it doesn't look much different to our usual set up as it's the same players just Mukasa sits closer to Daka and the wingers drop back slightly to support the defence. The midfield being closer together rather than a very deep lying Skipp and a more pushed forward winks (hopefully JJ) is probably the only other difference.

Nolucklcfc Posted 10 March Posted 10 March It’s all whether the players can actually show some steel so …
Pliskin Posted 10 March Posted 10 March We need to be very cautious about about this mentality “they’re on the slide” or “this is an opportunity”…. There are no opportunities, we’re comfortably the worst team in the league besides Sheffield Wednesday. We’re incredibly mentally fragile, have zero confidence, and a fractured group of players, a mix of want aways, loans and players who just aren’t good enough…. It’s highly likely we lose this, comfortably, were easy pickings for everyone, if we lose then we’re 100% down, if we somehow muster a win, there may be some hope….. But, I still maintain we’re done, we can’t even hold onto leads against anyone…. And we tend to do worse against the lesser teams in the division. 2
