I assumed it was because he's not yet played 90min since his injury same as Lascelles

I appreciate your point and I don't believe in risking a player's health if it can be avoided. But didn't this subbing of James happen before this injury - under Cifuentes? Piper, as a former professional, didn't mitigate the substitution with your specific concern.

This is a situation where that extra playing time from our most influential player could make the difference between relegation or survival in the Championship.

Wanted BEK to go at the start of the season because he was a mardy twat who clearly didn’t want to be here.

But with him in the team we wouldn’t be in the relegation zone, whether he wanted to be here or not.

Been racking my brain, can't think of one player I wanted rid of that I'd want back. The team's depressing enough as it is without adding Perez into the mix.

Heard Justin's name mentioned a few times.

Hes doing alright in the Prem, but i can't forget the fact that he just about single handedly relegated us from the prem with individual errors.

I know its a different league, but he was more of a liability then than Thomas has ever been in this league.

I remember someone calculated all the points he cost us from individual errors and it was shocking.

Conrad something

Logan.

Slimani, didn't like the fight at Prem level but would probably clean up for us right now in the Championship.

He was playing next to Wout Faes though.

It's hard to see another way in our current situation. Then again, when we got Maresca in and he instantly got performances out of a relegated team, changing our playing style completely, maybe it wouldn't require such a hefty clear out, but just a clear plan and strategy.

Not sure there are as many as 90% bad eggs, but we just have a lot of staff including players who are overpaid in relation to our current position and we obviously can't sustain that.

much as some on this forum would hate to admit (because they don't like enzos playstyle), Maresca managed that because he is a manager with elite potential. Attracting and maintaining those managers at the club to avoid having the necessary cull across the board is just not feasible, and average to decent managers would be on a hiding to nothing without the massive culture reset.

It is also the second relegation for some of them and to go and have the motivation to win the Championship again without a striker or decent keeper is probably to far for any manager even Enzo.

Ipswitch had no players in there starting 11 in the last game that got promoted with them previously, we have just stagnated and let the culture set in for way to long, there is hardly any competition for places as well, it goes a lot deeper than the manager as we know.

Soyuncu would have been our saviour.

Never wanted him out in the first place.

It was just Brendan being a nob, surprise surprise.

I'd take Donald duck

Decent on the wing but likely to tread water in wet conditions. Mouthy personality would also be a magnet for red and yellow cards.

He was a (proven) good player completely hung out to dry by the tactics of inept managers.. He had a horrid 24/25 and I agree with the decision to sell him considering he had a year left on his contract, but Thomas has absolutely been worse a division below..

Ade Akinbiyi

I mean he probably just plays in the garden with his kids but he’s still better than what we’ve got up front.

Yes, but that does set too low a threshold if you are comparing to Daka or Ayew, our options to play as a striker

My suggestion is Andrej Kramaric, whom I am surprised not mentioned before. Now over 350 appearances for Hoffenheim (he joined on loan initially) and over 150 goals
