Decent on the wing but likely to tread water in wet conditions. Mouthy personality would also be a magnet for red and yellow cards.

he'd do well v Ipswich mind

Yes, but that does set too low a threshold if you are comparing to Daka or Ayew, our options to play as a striker

My suggestion is Andrej Kramaric, whom I am surprised not mentioned before. Now over 350 appearances for Hoffenheim (he joined on loan initially) and over 150 goals

I don't think Kramaric was someone most wanted gone in the first place. But in hindsight it was probably the right decision for all parties.

There was so much weirdness from the fans surrounding Kramaric.

He was a proper FM /hipster signing - name that has an accent, 9million pounds, from Hoffenheim, needed a work permit. It ticked all the boxes for the fancy dan signing and for so long people were desperate for him to play over Vardy. The revisionism was massive, too, he was cast as 'the one that got away' with people seemingly ignoring we had one of the best strikers on the planet playing for us over him and during the period after he had left.

He was good but Vardy was better.

A lot of Perez revisionism goes on on here.. we've had a lot of dross since that he's been better than but he was absolutely crap for us bar a hand in the fa cup final goal.. if he's the first player that comes to mind here from those that have left us then your standards need raising!!!

Well I’m sure there’s lots of players that people would rather have back, but the topic is specifically about players you actively wanted to leave. Though personally, I really don’t think he was as bad for us as you’re making out.

The only player I can think of that I really wanted gone, but would have back now, is Maguire, I reckon he could just about do a job in League One

Yes, but which of these did you *really want gone* at the time?

came from Rijeka and went to hoffenheim. No one was calling for him to play over vardy in 15/16, he left summer 16 so it was just the back half of the 14/15 season, in which vardy, like 90% of the squad, was crap up until April.
