Mildly off-topic, but as part of my fundraising efforts for the London Marathon I put on a quiz and raffle and contacted a few celebrities who I knew were supporters of the charity to ask if they would be kind enough to offer prizes. I expected nothing, but received some wonderful donations - and a cash donation of £19.93 from Swindon Town supporting comedian Ivo Graham under the reference 'Glenn Hoddle' - which amused me.

Anyway, I also contacted the club to ask if they could donate anything at all; given that I have been a season ticket holder since the late 90s I thought this would be a reasonable request. I have however received a response - circa 4 weeks after the event and 3 months since my first contact - to say that it's a no.

On the flipside, Coventry City (I live near Leamington, so the prize made sense - even if it killed me inside) gave me a voucher for two tickets to any category B or lower match and were really responsive and supportive about everything.

As I say, I didn't expect anything - but you'd think over a quarter of a century of support and dedication may warrant some sort of gesture of goodwill. Alas, no.

They’re a bunch of horrors aren’t they, they don’t deserve any of us. Love what Ivo Graham did though, what a man 😍

But but but what about all they do for the community etc etc

They honestly don’t give a crap about anyone or anything.

Coventry are way more in touch than our owners, our md buys hospitality tickets there for client purposes (he is a Villa fan) Doug personally wrote a letter to him thanking him and gave him a free shirt

Exactly the same happened to me too, also running London Marathon and held a quiz back in November, I sent emails/forms off to Leicester in September.

I also explained I was a season ticket holder etc and any prize I could collect from them no problem if they didn’t want to send anything out, I’d be happy to collect. Same as you I received the two tickets from Coventry city, no problems at all from them… then back to Leicester, they replied with something along the lines of

‘My request has been unsuccessful, but please do try again next month (bearing in mind they replied in November, the quiz was November, so I ain’t ‘trying’ next month) we offer 4 tickets for a stadium tour’.  A proper ‘look at what you could’ve won’ 😂

Just received an email with celebratory images "The Next Chapter Begins Here". Read the room you happy clappy f***wits.

IF we stay up, IF the big wages are cleared out, IF we have players with the heart of James giving us 100% I can begin to embrace a "new chapter", right now, knowing it won't be written by Shakespeare but by a blindfolded chimpanzee with a crayon it's not a big selling point. Rudkin is still here still involved in decisions, where is the optimism that those decisions won't be as awful as the previous ones. We buy tickets, you supply a football team, that's the unwritten deal, we currently have no competent centre forward, left back, right back or DM at the club, the only reasonable no.10 we actually own is debatabaly Page, I'd say you've reneged on your side of the deal. But hey new chapter and all that, happy days

It looks like they’re reverting back to 5 resales and 5 forwards again instead of the way they did it this season which was 10 using any combination

EDIT: club have confirmed it’s any combination as per this season. Looks like mixed messaging on the website.

I’m also seeing for those that are eligible for the card rather than the digital ticket you have to reapply again, if you don’t you’ll be put to the default digital ticket.

Email Jim at the lcfchelp address

Incorrect.

You have to email [email protected] and request to cancel and supply all relevant supporter information I.e. supporter number, address, DOB etc...

This also has to come from the same email address the season ticket is allocated too.

I've emailed them and received confirmation of the cancellation of my DD.

Is anyone brave enough to say they've renewed?

Yes, I've renewed.  My kids still want to go, and we like where we sit, and the people around us, who've also said they're renewing.

Reckon I might try to pick up a couple of season tickets for next year. Not sure I'll have enough "points" though.

what do we reckon the threshold will be??
