Interesting to see the Reaction had we gone and got the likes of Roy Hodgson instead of Rowett  just until the end of the season.  We know the blueprint to win/ get promotion and we've completely ripped it up .

People laughed when I suggested Hodgson after Puel got sacked. He’s become the butt of a joke but he’s had a solid Premier League career. Not that much of a shock he’s got a couple good results for Bristol City already.

It would have been very similar to what’s panned out. The culture is rotten, we have about a third of the squad leaving on a free in the summer. He’d still have been appointed too late (nor would he want it).

Same with Martin O'Neill and Warnock. The obsession with young pound shop Pep's probably comes from Football Manager/Fifa whizz kids that haven't played adult football, let alone Managed at any level and label these type of managers as Dinosaurs.

I did suggest Roy, when Marti got sacked, that said, I don’t he would have got tune out of this bunch of losers. Things won’t change until these losers leave the club, which most will at the end of the season.

At some point the penny will drop for the majority of the fanbase that our problems run far, far deeper than whoever happens to be our manager at any given moment. We had a very good, hands-on chairman who instilled a work ethic and a culture that was strong enough to propel us to the PL title. Then he tragically died and his responsibilities were passed onto his son, who means well but has none of his father's abilities. This transition of power has left a vacuum in the boardroom and institutional decay everywhere else—including the playing squad.

That awful summer of 2016 happened under Vichai's watch, so did the dismantling of Pearson's backroom staff, so did the Adrien Silva debacle with Rudkin getting out unscathed, he also appointed Rudkin in the first place.

 

Before the title win we had the aimless spending in the Championship.

 

Vichai was not as good as is made out, had his passing not happened I am certain we would have gone a similar way.

The owner who died in the helicopter crash appointed Jon Rudkin as director of football.

Nigel Pearson created the ethic and culture. The owner was clever enough to not get too involved. I think you give King Power in any iteration too much credit. They got lucky with us for a bit.

He made plenty of mistakes but tended to realise he got things wrong quite decisively. I do agree with the bold, but he wouldn't have sat and done nothing if we fell off like this under him.
