They need to be able to use the facilities we’ve got to its full potential. No good getting an old school manager.

Fuchs needs to be interviewed for sure, maybe even Russell Martin (people will laugh which I can understand), the Lincoln manager for obvious reasons makes a lot of sense.

Most importantly, he needs signing up in the next two weeks

Definitely. 😂
Missed our chance last summer.
I’m still looking at who’s going to be the Hassenhutl of this summer.

Exactly unless we have a major transfer kitty none of those managers entertain the prospect of managing in league one, I think we should target a young progressive manager: go for Jack Wiltshire.

I'm not saying I particularly want him as manager (I've not paid to much attention to him) but i just saw Richie Wellens rant. It was class and exactly the kind of manager we need.

Listened to Gus Poyet say he would take on a League 1 team if the project was right, on the managers podcast. IMO he would be a very good appointment.

Don't only poor managers criticise players like he did? Totally unacceptable: I expect he is expecting to be sacked and can point to players he managed when wanting another job? Why did he not get performance from them?

It is reasonable to assume our new manager will be out of contract somewhere. I suggest we wait a week or so to see if Chris Davies is sacked:

https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/birmingham-city-should-eye-bo-henriksen-not-thomas-frank-chris-davies/

You will remember he is familiar with City having been an assistant under Rodgers (and later under Postecoglou at Spurs) .. He has been criticised for not playing insufficient(virtually none)  academy players but City do have decent players, particularly for League 1 so I can see they would be played . He may not have met Birmingham owners expectations for this season (64 points seems a reasonable return to Championship to me), but Birmingham were runaway winners last season in league 1.

Would love to have Fuchs but given this is an appointment that has to be right(we have to get promoted next season for obvious reasons) that may be too much of a gamble (and he is on a long term contract - though I cannot see this being too lucrative!)

Someone to blame?

Just need to wait until a name we really really want is in close talks like Rohl last summer, then we know the next name will be our actual manager. Gonna guess heavy talks with Challinor/Skubala and then hire Chris Davies/Russell Martin

Next season's hire will be our most important for years when you consider the likely make-up of the squad.

Leicester has become a club where players stagnate & get worse. Players leave us & improve. This has to change.

We need a coaching obsessive who will be relentless on the young players on the training pitch every day. I've noticed that Monga's decision making is nowhere near where it should be, & his talent is stagnating as a result. He (& the others) require good day-to-day coaching to develop into the well rounded threats that we know they can be.

Our whole outfit needs to focus on long term player improvement rather than short term goals. This is how you develop a good internal culture, which will lead to good results & promotions. I don't want a manager hired on the basis of "Oh, he will get us out of League One". This "that'll do" attitude is what has got us into this mess in the first place.

So I will happily back a well sourced left-field appointment. Hopefully this is where James McCarron will come to the fore. I don't think for a second that Dirk Schreuder will come here, but his profile is certainly the right idea. Rather than some of the Championship/League One plodders that have been suggested on this thread.

Skubala isn’t leaving Lincoln for us. Never in a million years. Hes doing great there, no matter how “big” we are he isn’t coming to this basket case of a club.

Challinor or Wilshere might though.

Whilst the names being touted aren't the greatest  Rowett still 100% needs to go.

His record during his 14 games in charge is pretty sh1t.  He's showed me nothing new, or different compaird to the previous manager's, and for all of his babber saying the situation needs bravery and changes and cultural adjustments, he had his chance to do all that and gave us all the grand sum of fvck all on that front.

Cheero Gazza ma boy, you ain't what we need, and I wouldn't trust you with the rebuild either....

Imagine saying that 5 years ago …

If Top has a say he's going for Ferguson, based on who his dad is. Our only hope is if McCarrom can talk him out of it.

Having Ferguson would be a massive mistake

Agree, I’m sick of seeing people suggest him.

Keep Rowett !!! His short term contract was to avoid relegation, I think he failed !!!
