jonny_wright Posted 6 June Posted 6 June I hate this ownership, so out of touch with the fanbase Worst possible appointment

Ben Nelson as well. Agree with you on 'Winksy' though. Will be central to this mess no doubt.

Popular Post Pliskin Posted 6 June Popular Post Posted 6 June To be fair, I’d actually take Martin at this point in our current predicament, he’s probably a coupe at league 1 level. He has a definite style of play, no matter how boring it is, but at least it’s an identity, which we will desperately need, but he will need the tools to do it, there’s no point appointing him to set up a certain way and then not give him the necessary tools to build the team. But my biggest concern, is what the **** are we paying him? 6

Been going 65 years” 1 5
Cropwellfox Posted 6 June Posted 6 June One microscopic bright spot is that league one players aren’t as clinical as higher up so won’t take as many of the gifts this woeful style of play will serve up to our opponents.

County Fox Posted 6 June Posted 6 June Oh my days, the guy is going to have a sizeable percentage of the fanbase on his back from the off. Don’t get me wrong, I will give the guy a chance and do my best to back him but many others won’t. KP could have made things a lot easier for themselves by appointing nearly anyone but him. I think Rowett would have been a popular choice, in comparison!! Im going to kid myself and say that he is only joining us because the board have promised to back him in the transfer market. Also that teams will stick 10 men behind the ball against us and that this style of all play may work (if I tell myself enough, I may start to believe it!!!) 😝😂 KP know how this appointment would go down amongst a fractured fanbase, so they are either very, very brave or very silly (I’m not going to comment on which I think it is).
jayfox26 Posted 6 June Posted 6 June (edited) Folding the club seems like the best option right now. Everything is utterly miserable and appointing that total bell end will make it even worse. I've felt every emotion supporting LCFC over the last 30 years from pure joy to despair, delight to disappointment but never have i actually hated this club until now. I hate everything about it. The owner, the board, the last few managers, the players, our fans that are KP/Top lovers, the atmosphere, the culture. There is not one single thing to enjoy or feel proud of about this club right now. Disgusting! Edited 6 June by jayfox26 3

stu Posted 6 June Posted 6 June The only thing I’m clinging to is this has to work for Martin and much as it does for the club. If his football doesn’t work in league 1, then he is literally finished as a football manager. His career is literally on the line, just as much as the existence of Leicester City Football club. So let’s hope he has adapted his philosophy some what, so he does succeed. As much as some people want to see us in administration, it will be the worst possible outcome for the city of Leicester as much as the club. People’s livelihood’s are genuinely on the line here. 2 1

I get what you're saying but that won't suddenly give him the ability to be a good manager 2
