If nhs workers and box holders are being offered free tickets it all stinks a bit for the average punter who has stumped up for himself and his family to go.

Ex players not being able to let go seems a big part of these kind of events too. Watching how serious some of them get for Soccer Aid is quite humourous.

The players were talking to the club from before the season started and the club flat out told them to f*** off until now, when they suddenly decided to cobble this event together at the last minute.

 

Hard to blame a retired player for making other plans for that week,  you must know that former players of his stature don’t get $1M prize pots thrown at them very often.

Its when you see any NET proceeds go to charity. Even with the usual Hollywood Accouting you get with anything charity across the board when its Net proceeds, this thing aint turning a profit.

Oh no, of course it was always going to be net in my opinion. We are genuinely that skint we can’t afford to stand the costs of all the above.

 

I’m working on the assumption that after ‘all’ the tickets actually sold, and now some being reimbursed, the club have shifted focus on turning a profit for the Vichai Foundation to a vanity damage limitation exercise visually (crowd numbers)

 

 

To me it sounds like they’ve secretly accepted they’re going to make a loss on this, which is hilarious and worrying in equal measures
