Read the news of the club's announcement of staging a Leicester City Legends team to play an An All Star XI next month to commemorate the 10th anniversary of LCFC winning 

the Premier League title. What they've done is couched it as a 'charity match' to raise money for the Vichai foundation which will pass on the net proceeds of this event to the local community. 

It's incredible. LCFC have become like Starmer, the PM. They just don't get the reality of the situation. 

 

We are staring League 1 football in the face next season and all the Board are worried about is promoting a legends match to raise money for good causes. I am all for that. But this is the wrong time. 

The Board should have put their hands in their pockets before the start of the season to get a decent, experienced manager to replace Maresca and buy some quality, experienced players. 

 

The owners seem besotted with being seen as 'do-gooders.' The pillars of our community. Helping good causes. You do that, after you have got everything running successfully at the football club you own. 

Not try and divert the fans attention away from reality. Do they think we are stupid?

 

Oh, lets all go and watch Wes Morgan and Co and think about the good times back in the day. We've just been relegated, AGAIN, but hey, who cares?? And the Board are going to give a fiver to the bring and buy stall. Whooopeeeee!! 

 

The board and those running the club must be in cloud cuckoo land.

Fans: We’ve just been relegated and KP is a disaster 

 

LCFC: But look at our funday it’s going to be great

I’m confused don’t we have a thread lambasting the club for its lack of acknowledgment of both the achievement & player recognition?

 

Not sticking up for the club here I just want to know which track I’m meant to be on now 🤷‍♂️

People were moaning that the club weren't doing anything about it being 10 years. Make your minds up.

I think the thing people have an issue with is the timing of the announcement. Fans have been asking the club for some sort of acknowledgement or event to commemorate the 10 year anniversary all season, but the club only decided to announce something yesterday, a day before the club is almost certainly going to be confirmed as relegated. Its just tone deafness from the club.

We've won 1 game in 2026 not really sure there was a good time, maybe they should have done it the night of that game.

I guess you've not seen the KPFC lot on Facebook and other platforms on the web.

 

Those at games having a go at people voicing concerns about our future.

 

Those that truly live in the past.

 

We was in League One once.

KP won us the prem and FA Cup.

 

But don't see that Top is destroying us.

 

 

Yes they do think we are all fvcking stupid because 80% won't have a word said about them.

We were in League 1 once.....   qe finished fifth twice, you ungrateful buggers!

That's one way of looking at it. 

 

Another is that celebrating the title win before the fans like this only serves to highlight how far we have fallen so quickly and the breathtaking magnitude of the management's ****wittery in getting us here. 

 

I think it's tone deaf and should be mothballed.  It's a bit like giving a starving man a photo of a donut.

After the threat to the club's very existence I'd say this is the saddest part of it all. Should have been a really great month or so in reminiscing, enjoying content etc, but I just can't enjoy any of it.

 

I tried watching the Sunderland Away highlights on the YouTube the other day and it just made me feel ill.

That's a real shame. I watched exactly those highlights the other day too! But they brought back all the feelings of that glorious time and made me very happy.
