Doesn’t have to have deep pockets, would happily take a good sound business person making good decisions and creating a good environment, culture and environment.

Stockport's owner is a good example of this, but you're talking lower levels of investment ... but that's maybe the level we're at now.

How does that rule us out?

It doesn’t, however unless you’re half stupid, you really don’t buy a football club.

Think you missed the point though. A bit morbid but the likelihood that he might die soon and hand over it to an incompetent child is pretty likely. Back to square 1

If it's a consortium then maybe the other members of it have the nous to be able to continue it successfully.

There are plenty of businesses that can afford the club particularly at the moment with low ball offers incoming.

I asked Chatgpt who was the richest person living in Leicestershire. It's between John Bloor, David Wilson and Sir Will Adderley (Dunelm).

I've worked for 1 of these companies, and my current company has a project with the owner of another.

Both companies are well run: know what they do and do it well. Neither would touch a football club with a bargepole, so a bit of  wishful thinking with most of these names.

No local consortium is buying us.

Even if Leicestershires richest families purchased us, we wouldn’t be anywhere near the wealth the required to run a top tier football club.

But we're not a top tier football club any more!

That's ideal then 👌

Cuz we won't be top tier for a few years

Most money we get will likely go to paying off the Ozzie bank and then enough left to overhaul the playing squad with sensible purchases.

no one would do this for any other reason than to make money from us….

I work for one of these companies and have worked with the others.

None of them are buying a football club.

So to summarise we are hoping a retail business or property business that is HQ’d in Leicester somehow wants to diversify and buy a struggling football club :giggle:

Next joke please

This was only 4 months ago

Their current plight has increased calls for Srivaddhanaprabha to sell the club, but he insists there are no plans to move aside.

“I think on the first day I came in with my father [in August 2012] and we built plans, we loved football and we loved the club. I still feel every bit the same. I’m very passionate about football and I said in my first interview, when I was 25, that I wanted to be in this for the long term. Selling the club is not the way to exit anyway.

“I have to make sure that I complete everything that I did here before I want to leave. Now I need to make sure the club is in a good place. I still love it here, I want to make sure the club is being successful again.”

What he says and what he does are two different  things ,but any way ,be nice to go down the KINCH stadium, be rocking :scarf:

Just because it say local consortium, doesn't mean the money is local, wouldn’t be the first time someone is a front for someone else.

Isn't that exactly what happened at Derby?

I've worked with most of them at some point and they have significant values because they are well run. There are also other families in leics worth hundreds of millions.

The point is, there is significant wealth in Leicestershire that is often talked down. Should someone wish to purchase the club, particularly now that it's value is as low as it's been for 10-15 years, then a local consortium would be possible.

I just can’t fathom reading your bank statement and seeing a patreon payment to Alan Nixon

The wife of a mate of mine saw his Nixon subscription and asked him what it was. He told her Patreon was a gay porn site and that Alan Nixon was one of its biggest stars. Dodged a bullet there…
