Argie fans delirious. So much of their national pride is based on football.

Possibly that's because, quite franky, it doesn't appear that they really have anything else of prestige to hang their hat on.

A mite sad, really.

Think Argentina look fairly ordinary based on that game.

That is true but they havent had to get out of 2nd gear. Will be interesting to see what they are like when they have to up their level.

I mean when you consider that the rest of it is based on grilled beef, harbouring escaped Nazis and obsessing over a windswept rock inhabited by penguins and a few sheep farmers... I'd double down on the footy too.

The best and most accurate answer to the question 'how do you stop Messi?' Giroud answer without hesitation was 'N'golo Kante'.

He's not wrong.

hopefully, we might find out another answer to that question is Elliot Anderson as we will likely have to face Argentina if we want to make the final the way the bracket is shaping up

Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t even the best player called Ronaldo imo. I’d take peak Ronaldo Nazario over peak Cristiano.

100%.

Yeah but Messi isn't even the best Argentine player called Leo, let alone world wide.

He's only ever done it for the big teams, innit? Never turned up and done a 5000/1 has he?

Amateur.

If the real Ronaldo actually had 2 functioning knees, hed have probably been better than Messi as well. Both Messi and CR7 have had lucky careers in terms of injuries.
