niyaminski Posted Friday at 14:37 Posted Friday at 14:37 Surprise surprise Russell is in self defence mode for the Stockport pre match presser
Libertine Posted Friday at 14:42 Posted Friday at 14:42 (edited) Loving it. Bro has entered absolute clown shoes territory. Gonna be damn entertaining xx (football aside) Edited Friday at 14:42 by Libertine
Free Falling Foxes Posted Friday at 14:44 Posted Friday at 14:44 You can't blame Martin, it's a strategy that has served him well. Not the tippy tappy football but worming your way past incompetent chairman/DOF into yet another coaching role that goes pear shaped quickly, you then piss off the fans, make your position untenable and get another pay off. He could be out of work soon yet pulling a very sizable pay-off from 3 different clubs. Nice work if you can get it.
Claridge Posted Friday at 14:47 Posted Friday at 14:47 I never want to hear a manager utter the words process, should be written into their contracts that they can’t use that word after every useless performance 2 1
john ridley Posted Friday at 14:50 Posted Friday at 14:50 Keeps going on about the ****ing intensity being there, the so called intensity is against each other, who are all weak as piss .Oxford showed intensity is ,getting ****ing stuck in .Hopefully Stockport will show that and bang another nail in his coffin . 4
Popular Post Bablemikey Posted Friday at 15:04 Popular Post Posted Friday at 15:04 When he says this stuff about process etc the reporter needs to challenge him about the number of games he’s won in the last two years. How can he expect fans to support him in the light of those results. 6
FoxKent_88 Posted Friday at 15:10 Posted Friday at 15:10 Seems to be digging himself a trench. Needs a win more than ever after that presser!

I'd rather we won. I don't care who the manager is, I always want us to win. Maybe I'm just old fashioned. 1

Method? System? (Yes, I just looked at a thesaurus.) 1 1

This is absolute sucide by KP, thats going to end up with us going into admin. Nearly everybody outside of the club from pundits to fans (let alone most of the fans in it!), are now saying his possession based football is too demanding for our players who aren't suited to playing it quite simply! I think it's already sh*t or bust time for him at Stockport tomorrow and if Martin carries on trying to play his way there then I think it could be another miserable afternoon.....
RoboFox Posted Friday at 15:30 Posted Friday at 15:30 He's a proper knob isn't he? I knew everyone said he was a ****ing knob, but the knobishness really hits when you have to listen to him talk twice a week. 1

PaddyS Posted Friday at 15:48 Posted Friday at 15:48 He's an absolute crackpot. What is he actually seeing that he thinks is going to all work out if he just sticks with it? It's not like we've just been unlucky.
LVFox Posted Friday at 15:55 Posted Friday at 15:55 When managers lose their touch, they go through their usual cycle quicker and quicker. Martin has gone through his in 5 games! Refreshing clarity (pre season) Identity but teething problems (Notts county and Burton) Signs of progress (Ipswich, MK Dons and Plymouth) Worked out by other coaches (Oxford) Implosion in the press, losing the fan base (now) 3
Leicester_Loyal Posted Friday at 16:02 Posted Friday at 16:02 He'll be blaming the fans after the next defeat for boo'ing and a negative attitude. He is utterly bonkers.

We will give them the care that they need it’s such a young squad and new - we’ve done a lot of work with them, I know the improvements will come - it’s about bravery, energy, we will give so much energy on the pitch Then Stockport intercept a brainless pass out of the back a minute in on Saturday and off we go again. Absolute fraud. First part a resounding tick…..

He is utterly bonkers. Tactics are crap and all that but surely we can accept that the toxicity has played a part in our complete inability to hold our nerve in any situation whatsoever? I can’t imagine playing over the top passing football with 25k moans and groans every pass is easy whatsoever. Not defending the tactics but it definitely has played a part in some of the crap we have seen. If you’ve played before you’ll know that up to a certain point it all blocks out, but when things go wrong these things become a lot more noticeable on the pitch and it does make it harder to play when you feel like every touch you make is being scrutinised, think it’s why 0-1 at home quickly turns into 0-4 when away I do not think we would capitulate to that level. I blamed the players being soft for a long while but at this point it’s pretty much an entirely new squad and the same issue. Again bigger problems are the tactics and the historic recruitment but it is an issue that will be affecting performance
