But is that truly HIS failure, or the people that hire him?

Both. Both are abject failures. How on earth can you look at his CV and think, yes, he's the man for us?

But don't and we can't. It's all pie in the sky, fantasy football. It's going to be our downfall until somebody takes over and kicks these ****s out of our once formidable club.

He may be the worst manager in the world but you have to admit it was a masterstroke appointment by Rudkin.  It's taken the heat right away from him

I think this was partly why they did it.

In which case they are corrupt and should be hounded out but that won't happen. They have no shame. They take no responsibility. They just take from us for their own self interests. Horrible, horrible individuals.

And what's just as bad, is that those alongside them just let it slide. Is there no-one with a backbone to stand up to them?

Is it any wonder fans are angry and frustrated. We are invested in, and value our club. They couldn't give a toss as long as they are in an "important" position in a (could be any) football club.

The appointment of Martin sealed it for me. We all could see his career path and his abject failures, yet the board or the person/persons with the most power, ignored that and approved his appointment anyway.

Disgraceful, short-sighted,  ignorant, blind to the facts and stupid to employ this non-entity of a "manager".

They should be ashamed. They don't represent us and we despise them. Let's get divorced. We'd be much happier in the long run.

Exatly....No other explaination for it.......Nobody wanted him in the first place(Bournemouth away).....it just takes the heat of the people at the top.And to be honest when you are a crap manager married to a ex page 3 wife and going to get £2 million as a severence payout i doubt he's bothered about wining football games at all.......He will go on to punditery or pick up a job abroad.......nice work if you can get it!

This whole sham of possession football philosophy is taught from a really young age these days. It’s wrongly seen as ‘the only way to play’

My points being that I’m not sure our academy graduates would be able to alter their style accordingly to much more direct football under a different manager

The other point is that because it’s been so deeply ingrained from a young age it’s likely our next batch of graduates will be the same, and the one after them, and the next etc

A little footnote required for those on here who need it- that does not mean I’m wanting Martin to stay.

Imagine in the 90s saying I have one tactic and I will relentlessly stick to it even when I get beat at home by Burton, Oxford and Peterborough.

it’s incredible he’s been able to get this many jobs. I think if we stuck Ric Flair on the touchline with a crate of Stella it wouldn’t be much worse.

The only reason Martin was appointed as our manager was because there was no one else at the time. Any sane person with an ounce of football knowledge would have seen what he did at Rangers and wouldn't have touched him with a bargepole.

He was a total disaster at Ibrox and rubbed everyone up the wrong way, always blaming the players and then even the fans and then the board.

He has no class, and is certainly not cut out to be a manager. A moment of madness by the LCFC board appointing this misfit.

Time to get rid of him and NOW.

Did no one consider the abject failure Martin was at Rangers where he pissed off everyone, including the entire squad?? Some sort of death wish appointing him.

The bloke also has no shame,  talks absolute jiberish, has terrible tactics and then blames his players who are a bunch of clue-less kids. Until the owners are replaced and this fool is got rid of, this dire situation will remain the same. MARTIN OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There was a spell in the first half where we had 100 passes and the fans was singing ole, ole to every pass and nothing came from it , i turned to my mate and said that is us in a nutshell, im so hoping he gets the bullet today , and Top was there at the match I believe, and even he can see this guy is not the right manager for the club

A quick Google search and only 7 clubs in League One spent money in the summer.

With our spending contributing to nearly half.

Yet, we have zero pace and athleticism after all that.

Imagine bringing in Cleary and another one of the better wingers in the league, I guarantee that they’d be better than Burns/Howell and sadly Alves.

They’re not helped with lack of attacking patterns but it’s a tough watch when they can’t beat a man.

Someone post the links to the Rangers fan the first time we were linked how we were all horrified long before he got the Rangers job

Is that the Rangers fan who hasn’t developed grammatical skills and types like he’s sat in a corner of a pub like Father Jack?
