A lot of discussion online about combined French and English 11’s after Viera and Neville’s comments last night so thought I’d chuck mine in:

Maignan

Kounde

Upamecano

Saliba

O’Reilly

Anderson

Rabiot

Dembele

Olise

Mbappe

Kane

Bellingham for Rabiot the only change for me out of that. Maybe Rice for Anderson but I've quite liked Anderson's contributions so far.

Just clocked we get to see Haaland vs Gabriel in the next round again.

"There we can see the teams gathering in the tunnel, so will Haaland humble Brazil or is Gabriel gunner keep him quiet? Join us after the break for the anthems."

Absolutely insane people seemed to convince themselves Ecuador were the real deal after beating Germany.

Shows that one decent performance against a superpower team on the wane covered up the pathetic performances they put in against Ivory Coast and Curacao.

It’s not just that though, they have top class defenders and world class CDM, they’ve conceded 5 goals in about 20 games pre World Cup.

They only lost 2 games in qualifying, less than anyone in South America (Argentina came top and lost 4, Ecuador came 2nd and lost 2). They finish comfortably ahead of Brazil who only just scraped through. They beat Argentina, and both of their losses were early in qualifying, they went around 2 years without losing a competitive match pre World Cup

That's fine, and a fair point, but there's no denying they were also absolutely abysmal against both Ivory Coast and Curacao, and I'm not sure why that seemed to be forgotten, especially as they were playing a hyped and confident Mexico team in Mexico.

It is a shame with their track record going in they weren't any better - I'm being harsh but the tournament would've been a damn sight better for them being in that qualifying form.

Only if they're incorrectly given.

If it's incorrectly not given, it remains a goal kick.

Ah legend, it was driving me mad as I couldn't work out why they used it sometimes but not others lol

I don't understand why they don't do it both ways but at least I know now thanks.

does anyone else have this horrible feeling that we will lose tonight against the DR congo ?

I think we’ll squeeze through but they drew v Portugal, should’ve gotten something v Colombia and battered Uzbekistan. They can definitely trouble us and have some very good players, they’re definitely better than Ghana. A convincing win will help.
