He's probably the midfielder we are least likely to win a game with in the team. Just a terrible signing. Edited 21 July by honeybradger
fox_up_north Posted 21 July Posted 21 July Skipp for a few million or even up to 10 million, if shifting Soumare or Hamza, makes sense on paper. I remember reading we'd actually signed him. Just so unnecessary and an absolutely moronic fee. It could have covered 2 half decent players and maybe a good loan. 2
Popular Post Muzzy_no7 Posted 21 July Popular Post Posted 21 July Skipp is a lot of things and yes the signing and fee was a disgrace but he is not similar to or worse than Hamza f***ing Choudhury. 8
Ric Flair Posted 21 July Posted 21 July Just loan him out for a £500k fee and cover his wages would do me. I want to pretend we don't still have £15m to pay/book value remaining. 2

He did drop Facundo once for Wilf but that was to play a more defensive style.
coolhandfox Posted 21 July Posted 21 July Doesn't matter what the justification to buy him was, it was a poor deal for a player that's not even stood out in the championship. Accept and move him on asap. Amazing we sold out best player, one of the few at PL standard and spent the money on Skipp, Okoli and Ajew. All total flops. 4
Buzzell Posted 21 July Posted 21 July This guy must be the most pointless signing in Leicester City history. Still the mind boggles why we even considered him. 2

Choudhury has at least had some good games in a Leicester shirt. Skipp has been consistently rubbish since he signed. For me I think we're a better team with Choudhury than with Skipp. Choudhury is a bomb scare on the ball but at least he offers some energy in midfield. Skipp just offers nothing. 1

Just to set the record straight - Skipp had several excellent games last season and this was generally recognized by commentators and podcasters. Edited 21 July by Keyworth63 5 2

Choudhury won more man of the match awards than Skipp last season whilst being a bit part player. Was also good against Charlton early in the season but didn't win man of the match. I can't remember any note worthy performances from Skipp (that weren't noteworthingly bad at least). One of the worst seasons a midfielder has had for us. Edited 21 July by honeybradger

As a 20m PL player he should be one of the best players in the league.. No having the odd good game.

I'm not defending Skipp, because he's genuinely poor for the money we paid, but there was a patch last season where people said he'd had a really good game. There were several games at home where he was one of the better players, namely in the game when Okoli got sent off early on. But I do agree with you, he needs moving on as for the money he's far too inconsistent. Edited 21 July by MGLCFC 2

It might be because he looks like he tries or maybe because he is White British. Maybe our fans feel sorry for him but the way he gets lauded after the most mediocre performances by our fans is just laughable. Skipp is one of the reasons we were relegated last season, that's what a straight record should show. Edited 21 July by honeybradger 1

Wouldn’t even describe Skipp and Ayew as flops as it was obvious what they were before they joined.
