I’ll be the set piece coach in one post. Defending pick up your man, if he scores it’s your fault. Attacking corner, taker hit the penalty spot every time, big lads attack it, striker and wingers hover round the line to hook in the bits.

Defending corners leave 2 quick lads who can’t jump on the halfway line to empty the box a bit. That’s it lads, go and win.

Great shout.

I sound like a broken record but the head of fitness should have serious questions after last season’s diabolical running stats!

It’s a hard one to know. Clearly a capable guy picked in his field by a man who never missed the mark for us with the backroom staff. Obviously like always there was the odd signing on the playing side that didn’t work.

Has Reeves therefore been promoted beyond his capabilities whilst being still capable? Is the culture just so bad with the ownership, football operations and the managers we have had as well as players, that he’s just lost control?

Hourihane will be our manager by the end of the season, mark my words. Cheap option after another manager payout.

Think you may have a point there, surprised  he's  come as a number 2.

Big Russ set piece plans are just pass it back to the unmarked player on the half way line and recycle aren't they? Don't think we need a coach for that.

How is he meant to do that, he's just a coach, we have no idea what responsibility is his?

you don’t think coaches  can make positive contributions?

no my point was we don't know what King's area of responsibility will be, if he's running any of the sessions or just assisting, so how can King earn good will back? not that I think he needs to

Youth Development Phase Coach (U16): Eric Odihambo

Did this pass everyone else by as well? That’s blast from the past.

I watched him play at Inverness once! Back when I was super into groundhopping.

He has been with the academy working for a few seasons now.

Andy Hughes being fired is a really positive step for obvious reasons.

As is an additional Fitness coach with how unfit and poorly conditioned the players looked the last couple seasons.

Steve "there's only one R in" Morison is now loans manager, apparently.

Wow, that's actually a job ?

Must be one of the easiest gigs in football. Crazy.

If i remember rightly Hourihane was a set-piece specialist during his playing days,

Hopefully he can help us out.

You would think but he didn't lead on them at his time at barnsley. They were delegated to an analyst who has just got a move to Newcastle with their first team setup.

Quite important though really when you think. How bad have we been generally at managing young players development through the loan system? Barnes was a good example and Chilwell. Even KDH was very late and many of our loanees over recent years have had poor minutes. Look at Braybrooke this season just gone compared to last up in Scotland. Alves on the flip side has still not established himself.

Financially for the club, getting this right is important as if you can get first team ready players, the saving on transfers is there. For example, using Braybrooke again, top performer in L2 would be a target for L1 teams if owned by said L2 team but he is ours already. Or obviously selling on and transfer fees in. This club seems to have got fixated on the big fees, your Barnes, Chilwell and KDH’s again. But especially where we now find ourselves, even selling a George Hirst for £1mill or £1.5mill whatever it was all helps.
