A new fitness coach as well is very much welcomed. 

Imagine Andy King as first team coach, and maybe Begovic player/ GK coach.
 

Although would rather Kingy work with the academy lads and get a more experienced coach in, suspect this could be the solution.

Yeah, I agree with you. 

 

It's a very young coaching setup. Which could be good with fresh ideas but also maybe someone with experience might be useful.

We have been linked with Davis Keillor-Dunn at Wrexham who was with Hourihane at Barnsley

Hopefully Jonathan Bland. He's good and all but it's mainly because I'm mates with his dad and I want to briefly have that unbeatable buzz of being vaguely ITK.

I’m probably actually the only one that feels a bit sorry for Andy Hughes. He’d probably have rather worked with the Krankies than what Rudkin/numerous managers landed him with. Nigh on every set piece last year it looked like men v boys in the box.

Honestly, and even writing this I hate myself and know it’s baseless, but they just look annoying. They look like people that would work with Martin. I’m checking out more with each passing day.

How is he meant to do that, he's just a coach, we have no idea what responsibility is his?

Reeves is staying on, the new fitness coach will work beneath him.

Reeves is a Pearson man right? Been with us since 2008 and followed Pearson to Hull and back to us?

 

In which case I’d be inclined to suggest he isn’t the problem….

 

Liking the Hourihane coming in. Can’t say I’ve heard of the fitness coach but looks like he has been with Martin. It doesn’t sound like fitness is an issue with Martin sides as such as the tactical side so seems like a good appointment having a specialist anyway.

 

I wonder if we are done or not there. Martin and Hourihane replace Rowett and Davidson. Fitness coach is something we just seemed to lack anyway. With Sadler and Hughes going, it seems we are still light and you’d perhaps like to see another set piece coach come in and a more general coach to replace Sadler, ideally one who can focus on the defensive side.

I sound like a broken record but the head of fitness should have serious questions after last season’s diabolical running stats!
