Is it too late to call up a replacement?

Should just call one up anyway and see what FIFA try to do about it. Doesn't even have to be English. Get Wilf Ndidi on the plane, don't even bother with any paperwork, and start him against Norway.

We genuinely should do this. Make fifa justify why this one shouldn’t be suspended when the Balogun one was, which was a worse challenge.

neither should be suspended. but if one were to be it should be Balogun's as it wasn't a red.

As it stands though, the only reason it has been suspended is because trump has pictures of Infantino getting his end away at Mar a Lago.

Or so someone said somewhere.

Both have obviously got to get through their L16 games but I fancy Colombia to do one over Argentina if they both get through (which they should)

I don't think I've ever seen a player managed to get himself booked and then stretchered off despite not even getting on the pitch.

But we wished we had numerous times last season.

That wasn't a red card anyway last night, he won the ball first, but modern rules being how they are.

I thought it was a red but he was very unlucky as his calf bounced off the ball and connected with the player much higher than would have done otherwise.

I do think we'll beat Norway. Our defence is still prone to errors and Haaland is obviously substantially harder than anything we've faced, and he alone might swing it, but I'd sooner be facing them than Brazil in Miami, that would've felt like another away game.

Brazil were terrible. Had they progressed and England played like they did last night, it would have been a thrashing. Brazil can’t defend for toffee, and are overly reliant on Vini Jr.

Norway will be a tough game, they’re well organised and obviously have Haaland. But the advantage is, he will come as no surprise to Englands defence.

I really don't think they were terrible. They could've definitely won that game yesterday. They had pretty bad moments in games but on the whole I don't really get some of the criticism that's been aimed at them. I'm guessing a lot of it was to do with the first half against Morocco and Japan. But by the end they were probably worth the draw and the wins they picked up respectively. Second half yesterday they were poor. In the humidity of Miami I'd sooner not have yet another essentially away game straight after the last. Norway are a good team but at least it's crap conditions for both teams.

I think the current Brazil squad has a fair few unlikeable players which makes them an easy target for criticism. Vini and Neymar are not very well liked and there are a fair few others. Bruno G is a bit of a rat as well.

The Neymar inclusion was ridiculous and I think the main reason they ended up going out yesterday. I think you bring Ancelotti in to avoid emotional decisions like this and he still caved in. Their midfield is a problem though. It's just 'OK' rather than top drawer.

That's gotta be the most unique way of ending your international career by Henderson

He did get hurt badly, but even he has to see the funny side once he's recovered.

It's the fact he got booked as well and wasn't playing that adds to the whole thing

Feck that, we can just play them all anyway, since the rules no longer matter. Why not start with 12 men? We could play Balogun up front with Kane. Can we have Haaland too?
