SpacedX Posted 9 July Posted 9 July Danny Ings is renowned for his infectious positivity and motivation wherever he goes. If nothing else, he will bring leadership, vitality and actually, everything that you would expect from a senior pro in terms of professionalism. Something that we have been sorely lacking for years. 3 1
Nolucklcfc Posted 9 July Posted 9 July If he can stay fit, it’s decent. In league 1 with a much slower tempo, he should be ok. Think he played quite a lot last season. 1
Rubbersoul Posted 9 July Posted 9 July trying to be positive he might help our younger strikers and it’s only a 1 year deal. And now if I’m realistic he’ll probably be a regular at the Seagrave medical centre
Popular Post moore_94 Posted 9 July Author Popular Post Posted 9 July The club have obviously decided that because Vardy was still such a prolific striker after turning 30 that every future number 9 must now be 30+ 1 4
teblin Posted 9 July Posted 9 July On a 1 year deal, if he can stay fit (big if) this is a good signing for League one.
Jonezy Posted 9 July Posted 9 July We never learn do we. Never. At least is a one season thing. Allegedly.

Flannel_Fox Posted 9 July Posted 9 July One year deal I'm ok with. Potential upside is much bigger than the downside imo 3

les-tah Posted 9 July Posted 9 July If we are going to look at starting the likes of Braybrooke page evans etc then we need this type of experience on the pitch, whether he is fit enough and the right player only time will tell i guess. He did play 20 times last season tbf 1
brookfox Posted 9 July Posted 9 July Don’t hate it on a 1yr deal. Had a bit of a sense of inevitability about it. Feel like we needed at least one more experienced striker and if he can also help bring the likes of Evans and Hutchinson on then it’ll be worth it in the long term.

Taking away our natural cynicism I can see why this is a good idea. Certainly seems the right type of character required and hopefully can contribute goals and know how 1
Will1981 Posted 9 July Posted 9 July Hopefully will have the same sort of effect as Kevin Phillips did. 3
Swarles Barkley Posted 9 July Posted 9 July With a club with no strikers and no money this is what we should be expecting 1
Popular Post coolhandfox Posted 9 July Popular Post Posted 9 July (edited) 1 year contract is fine. I think people need to recognise the market we are shopping in. NP type of signing GTF, Hammond et al. Edited 9 July by coolhandfox 7
kingfox Posted 9 July Posted 9 July At least it’s only a one year deal, and we need a few experienced players to get our leadership group right. Just depends if he can still chip in with a few goals at League 1 level, because he’s looked well and truly done at Championship level. Also he better not be coming in as first choice.
