I just saw that between the 66th and 84th minute, England had TWO succesful passes. Pickford to Stones and Stones to Pickford. That's it.

I work in a diverse workplace with a lot of Eastern Europeans and Africans and we all watched the game at work the other night. Every single one wanted England to win

And it wouldn't matter if they didn't.

Not referring to this post btw, but I find this stuff about '"living in England but supporting the opposition" a little sinister to be honest, and very typically English. Much more subtle than the Argentinians, but still unpleasant.

12% possession   too.

Incredibly poor for any team let alone a top International side!

We got out-shithoused by the Argentinians whilst the greatest shithouser of the modern  era was doing keepy-uppys at Seagrave.

Before you go saying this would have been a waste of a squad place, bear in mind that we took both Jordan Henderson and Ivan Toney.

On Wednesday, I did think the biggest idiot in the world who knows nothing about football could see what was wrong with that second half. Turns out I was spot on.

I can’t stand the guy but he’s not exactly wrong is he? I’m not sure the context of him discussing the game but he’s saying what most of us are saying or thinking.

I don’t think he said anything offensive to England.

Noticeable that he started to say fantastic team on the final and corrected himself to included Spain…

Presumably someone told him to

say all that ?

Must've done. He didn't know what the consequences of a red card were a week or so ago.

Personally, I would give Tuchel one more chance at Euro 28 to show that he's learned from the tactical and mentality errors shown in that match, but expectation must be high and anything short of that means he goes.

Tuchel has said today that he doesn’t regret his decisions, so he’s already admitting that he refuses to learn from his mistakes.

The reason he was hired was because the expectations were already that England win the World Cup. For me he has been a failure as there will never be a better chance to reach a World Cup final.

Should not even get the chance to manage them against France, for me.

Tuchel has a track record of this though.

Pep if we can get him.

Eddie Howe if not.

 Well, that's not exactly encouraging news.

If we can get in someone like Pep then, fair enough. Not sure the Howe suggestion above really does much for me - he's likely the best English manager about but right now that's a really low bar to clear.

Nothing wrong with supporting your home nation and living elsewhere, but it's not sinister to be annoyed by people who have chosen England as a home yet want them to lose.

We can’t afford to sack tuchel

a break was only a negotiable option if we failed to reach the last 16

euro 28 at home is winnable but we can’t beat France or Spain without a huge mentality change where we can keep the ball under pressure. Selecting players like Wharton might help (and hopefully a keeper who is totally comfortable with his feet )

It was like a England bingo card that showed we have learned nothing.

Take players are injured-tick.

Take a unbalanced squad-tick.

Play square pegs in round holes-tick

No style of play and rely on moment-tick.

Run players into the ground and don't use the sqaud-tick

Keep Kane on when knackered and offering nothing-tick.

Scored and sit back-tick.

Madness.

Sack Tuchel, do whatever it takes to get Pep.

Over the last five financial years (2020-21 to 2024-25), The Football Association (The FA) generated a cumulative operating profit of £380.1 million.

It has a floating cash reserve of around 120m.

What make you think they can't afford to sack him?

Would be interesting to hear from English people living in Australia if they agree with this.

And I'd disagree with any of them who wanted Australia to lose as well.

for sure, the FA wanted Pep well well before Tuchel and even agreed terms with him etc before he had a change of heart with Man City

i think now he'd probably be more than willing since hes left Man City

They only extended his contract a few months ago

Whoever authorised that can’t afford to sack him now

the FA funds are for the game across the whole country, not the FA  - if they chuck around £15/20m like that then their positions are surely untenable

imagine an organisation where abject failure is rewarded …………….

Only problem is if ever there was a manager who makes questionable and rash subs in knockout stages it’s Pep😂

Dude is correct unfortunately.

When you take your England tinted specs off, taking into accountbtge opposition, england were pretty substandard.

Struggled to beat average teams and gave away the semi on a platter
