Well if 250 people (max) walking down raw dykes with a 'King Power Out' banner was the tipping point then they're more thin skinned than I thought!

But like we said at the time it's probably 5% the actual in person protest and 95% the images being sent round the world. That would have stung "the family".

I suspect the owners barely even registered the protests.  As someone who isn't as blindly critical of the ownership, even I can see that they are incredibly insular and do exactly what they want, regardless of fan opinion or public pressure.

If the protests were so influential, why does Rudkin still have a job, why do we still have BC game as sponsors., and so on?

You're uutterly delusional if you think this was because of these protests; this is a decision that probably has it's roots around the covid period and is 100% economical and 0% because of anything any fan has ever said or done.

Just be grateful that you're all getting what you all wanted, and may godspeed be with ye.

Agree with the general sentiment here but this an extreme view:

1) These clowns have absolutely no commercial acumen or awareness of the economics, otherwise we'd have never be in this mess as they'd have massively improved revenue streams, had significantly lower costs and already pushed hard to sell the club when it's value was much higher.

2) I agree that the impact of this is limited and the logic you provide is very true. However, it will have absolutely offended them despite how onwards looking they are and you can guarantee it has played at least a small role in accelerating their timelines in terms of a sale.

They literally came out of the front door to see the protests when we relegated at home to Hull

out of interest, do you want them to stick around? Because you are conceding here that their business is majorly affected and they don’t have money to invest anymore. Might have helped themselves out getting decent people to run the show ala so many other foreign investors

They wouldn't have gone to Citi so readily if 500 people walked along raw dykes with a "king power please stay" banner.

You are probably right that the protests had some impact, but I think ultimately them selling is finally an acknowledgment that their business can no longer sustain us and if they continued to own the club they would lose £100/£140m which could help them get KP back on track.

The protest could have resulted in them moving 6 months quicker that could be the difference between admin and not. You just never know.

Ask the people that attended if they regretted protesting.

I dont need to ask them to be fair, I just think they looked at the numbers and realise they were ****ed rather than the driving factor being the protests. Fair play for anyone that joined them, not a dig at all.

In fact, I did hear about a year ago that KP accountants were at the club unannounced which I presume was when this process was properly starting.

Seeing something is not the same as registering it.  I see posts on instagram for AI products but i don't register them, i pay zero attention to them.  Notwithstanding, i maintain that the protest will have had zero, maybe a fraction of a % of influence on their decision to sell.

Do I want them to stick around - of course not - i'm not a moron.  They've clearly no wish to be here, so what any fans think or want is, if it wasn't before, entirely moot.

I'm not conceding anything about the state of their business, I'm not their accountant; i'm simply suggesting that the decision to sell is purely economic and has nothing to do with what the fans want.  As a caveat to that, i'd add that i HOPE that if the fans DO still mean anything then perhaps a part of their motivation is that they feel a sale is ALSO in the best interests of the club.

And this is my fear, that we end up with an option worse than king power, which feels worryingly probable given the reputations and issues that most other clubs are currently experiencing.

Gets me through what? delusional fans thinking a frankly rather lame protest made a billion decide to get out before it was economically too late.  OK, that makes sense.  Have you considered waving your banners outside of the White House?

I'm going to be petty, but shouldn't it now be what everyone wants?

Even if you were the most loyal fan of the current ownership (personally, I think that would be a wild position), it has now become clear that they either want to sell, or more likely, have to sell. Them no longer wanting to own the club or being able to afford to run the club should be enough of a reason for everyone to want a sale to go through sooner rather than later.

Still peddling COVID like it's an excuse for spending £25m on skipp and paying coady 90 bags a week. Go back to the Facebook groups

Simply used Covid as an economic time stamp.  It's been admitted by the club that the financial impact of covid affected the KP group - it's not difficult to infer from this that, even at that point, offloading the club might be an option.  Covid, if you recall, predates any of the protests.

So, no, not peddling excuses, in fact not even discussing the subject you refer to.  Not sure what you think we're talking about here?

When clubs get sold, do the whole board of directors tend to change as well? I honestly can't remember. Imagine if we get sold but Rudkin stays 😂

If he had any self respect, he’d have left already. He will try and stay no doubt.

Um, ok, that's a little semantic, but...

For me, It's not something i wanted (past tense) but, yes, it's become something that i feel is for the best (present tense).

I think for many years the fan base has been split with a certain faction believing in the "KP are doing this on purpose and must go" argument, and another believing in the "KP are the victims of their own ambition, let's just get through this together" argument.  There's no way that both of these arguments can be proven either to be right or wrong.  Thus why i phrased that in the past tense (wanted).

Where we're at now, yes, I agree, we all should want this to happen as soon as possible for the good of the club.   I think my point was, for those who have been dreaming of this all the time, they should be grateful that it's happening and stop short of absurdly trying to take credit for it.

Did you not see page 3 of the brochure? Rudkin pictured in a very suggestive pose

If we left the future of the club in the hands of the foxes trust and/or foxes talk posters - we'd be bankrupt in weeks.

As opposed to Top n Rudders

Oh yes. 3 relegations in 4 seasons.

Pts deduction for over spending that ultimately relegated us. Then despite selling 100's of millions worth of players we are still in the shite with finances.

Yes we could also go bankrupt.

You dont need to be an accountant to see how they have fvcked us.

If I were Rudderz I’d leave and stick with King Power, they’re the dream employers if you want constant promotions no matter how badly you do your job.

With any other ownership he’d be canned within the first days.

Speaking in absolutes on topics like this is dumb, and you know it. Even if it sewed a tiny seed in the owners head (like others said they saw it with their own eye), it's a factor. You can't prove otherwise.

That's a blatant lie. If it was left to my care, it'd be a matter of hours!
