Let's wait and see - there were plenty on here thinking Daka was going to be the next Vardy when we signed him. Turned out to be utter shite, Perhaps the opposite may happen here. Low expectations, but turns out to be very capable.

Yeah probably but still, nice to see a bit of confirmation. Wouldn't be the first time we've failed to properly judge a niche foreign rumour mill and gotten over excited about something that isn't and never was happening.

I think some are basing he's a target man solely on his height. Seems to me he's a bit of a lanky poacher rather than an eminently physical player. It's an overpay given his lack of minutes but there's some serious upside to this deal, if it doesn't work out we probably make a small loss - which is fine. I wouldn't expect him to start anytime soon.
