We are going to have to be patient this year but we aren't even threatening them. 

There is risk, but not in the area of the pitch we want it. Its my biggest bugbear with this style of football, if you take this risks at the back to draw the press, and actually beat it, you then have to be direct in the middle and final third. Not slow it down and allow the defence to get set again.

 

This half is everything i feared from Martinball. But i expect it to get a bit better with time, if he gets given it.

Only 3 I’ve got any positives for so far are Braybrooke, Joseph and Alves. Doesn’t look anywhere near a polished team with clear process. Hard though I guess when your captain clearly doesn’t want to be here, you’re missing the whole left side of the pitch because they are awful and no focal point up top. Still worrying me how vulnerable we look defensively…

He’s been shit all game… but played in a ball that couldn’t been tapped home by Alves. It’s just the type he is… always on the periphery of the game until the key moments. Our fans hated Madison so will loathe this guy but at the end of the season he will have some of our best numbers

I haven't really ever seen him before he came to us, so purely basing it on what I've seen in these two games - which is someone who doesn't seem to fit into Russell's system and contributes nothing.
