Have thought for some time he has a better chance than Monga of making it big. 2 1
AyewSerious Posted 9 August Posted 9 August i get he’s a kid, but anyone not really rate him?! seems to over hit passes consistently and maybe weak?

Yep it definitely is as I didn’t see an awful lot at all - I’ll be very happy to be wrong and I hope he goes on to do great things

dannythefox Posted 9 August Posted 9 August I understand the size of Utd but who wants to leave to play U19us footy when you’ve broke in to the first team where you are. Just stay put and back yourself you’ll get the move next year or the year after

He was underused last season and the same is likely to happen this season. No wonder we lose these players. Please stop defending the continuing shocking mismanagement of this club and wake up and smell the coffee. No defending anything by saying he will end up in Man u21.

-sodapop Posted 9 August Posted 9 August It's just frustrating to have made all this progress with the academy, have this glut of kids with great potential coming through that we accumulated by being the biggest fish in the Midlands for almost a decade, and all we'll have to show for it when all is said and done is millions in debt and Luke Thomas. 1

Aiyawatt at the wheel

Should just quote your username back to you. Maybe a valid criticism when he was first in the team last year but when he came back in, he was a completely different player, technically and physically
lcfc sheff Posted 9 August Posted 9 August Get a good fee and keep it moving. This is the real point of academy. Sad it won’t add to a war chest 4
Jimmy Posted 9 August Posted 9 August if he goes I would guess Tommy Neale would take his place in the squad, wish these players would choose 1st team football over the cash and disappearing into U21s for a couple of years

He’s come into a rotten culture…… he’s never going to prosper in an environment as bad as ours. It’s just a shame that as soon as we get a chance to potentially start a fresh, he gets snapped up.

I'd be way more upset if, Aluko, Alves or Braybrooke or even Jayden Joseph were to leave this summer! 1
lcfc_forever Posted 9 August Posted 9 August (edited) If we were in the Championship now, he would still likely go - only if we were in the PL might we have any chance of keeping him. It’s simply how the football hierarchy works, and good for us that he signed a contract. The difference is the fee we can command - it will be less given our current position, even if there is a bidding war. Edited 9 August by lcfc_forever 1
GrobyLCFC31 Posted 9 August Posted 9 August (edited) Another financial success for the academy, but financial successes aren’t going to get us promoted. Need to spend LP & HS money on a x2 9’s and CB’s to give RM the tools to play his way. Good luck to Louis if it goes through, looked good in the middle third of the pitch but I was never truly convinced that he’d be effective enough in either box - a steady midfield academy lad who could be unlocked at Man U Edited 9 August by GrobyLCFC31

This type of narrative has become so tiresome... Young player linked away to a BIG 6 CLUB but somehow "no good". Lets be so f**king for real for once please!

That is because the club has increasingly shifted him to the sidelines over the course of this summer. Really he should have been one of our key players like the rest of them. He was good when he was involved regularly. Edited 9 August by honeybradger
