This is the reset that everyone asked for. Calm down It's the reset we wanted but not the brand of football we wanted. We've had passing football for years and look where it's taken us. It hasn't worked since Enzo, and even then some weren't happy. This was a chance to rebuild a hard working attacking team, but we've gone to type. That is why most our doom and gloom. I thought it would take 10 games to properly get going, but didn't expect the dross of Burton game. Most are feeling down due to frustration, and that is warranted going on years of experience 3

Ric Flair Posted 25 August Posted 25 August Despite how appalling we've been the last 2 years, Ipswich have somehow managed to never beat us in those 4 games. Surely they can't continue that? 1
String fellow Posted 25 August Posted 25 August The tractor boys will probably field a crop of youngsters, but still plough through our defence and sow seeds of doubt in our supporters, finally to reap the reward of victory.

Couple for Bristric would be nice. And an Alves curler from the edge of the box. Oh and Braybrooke at 6 with Page coming in and bossing it. Plus game changing subs from Martin. Bit of entertainment wouldn’t go amiss either. 1 9

This is the reset that everyone asked for. Calm down 3 competitive games in, and it’s clear there’s been no reset. It’s the same problems and issues dressed in different clothing. The wrong manager has been hired, to just satisfy an already rotten culture that’s festering in the club. 3 games in and it’s clear relegation is far more likely than promotion. At league one level, given where we were less than a year and a half ago, it is unacceptable to be losing to Notts county and Burton, even if the team wasn’t functioning I expect comfortable victories against two sides likely to be relegated. The same systematic failings have been firmly evident in the three games we’ve played, slow, disinterested, weak, no pace a complete lack of creativity, style and willingness to win. A hand full of players look up for it, but it’s an unbalanced, un-dynamic squad, with no leadership, and a manager who is already fighting for his life, and it’s clear he’s not got a grip of the squad or situation. Martin won’t win a single game whilst he is here, but the danger is the boardroom have all but lost interest, so significant efforts to progress the club will not happen whilst it’s up for sale, they can’t afford to run it anymore and administration will move ever closer the worse we are doing. This is the worst state this football club has ever been in, and because it’s through sheer negligence and incompetence and not just a natural football cycle, it makes it even more dangerous than it’s ever been before. There’s no room for positivity, I tried and it quickly became apparent that this season will just be like the last, nothing will change until Top has ****ed off, because the same mistakes are being made by the same people who put us in this scenario. As @Ric Flair every weekend will be worse than the last. Edited 25 August by Pliskin 6 1
Samilktray Posted 25 August Posted 25 August Is this on tele/dodgy streaming tonight? What else is a man to do on a Tuesday evening but sit and hate watch Russ and the boys
TheGoldenGod Posted 25 August Posted 25 August Surely we want BDCR Hamza Thomas mavididi Souttar etc to play tonight because its a pointless game....save the actual players we want to see for MK Dons or whatever our next league game is...write this one off!
ClaphamFox Posted 25 August Posted 25 August I'm mentally preparing myself for Page to have a blinder and then be replaced by Cullen at the weekend.

cat lady Posted 25 August Posted 25 August I woke up feeling negative, then I remembered why Leicester city are playing tonight
Wortho Posted 25 August Posted 25 August Ipswich could play their third team and still win comfortably. 1
WorcesterBlue Posted 25 August Posted 25 August I expect Town to play the also rans that did not get a game last Saturday or at least not much of a one. Expect McAteer, Kipre and Fatawu later. 1

FoxesTalker Posted 25 August Posted 25 August As expected, a low away following tonight despite the reasonable prices. That performance and result on Saturday (in front of a 26k home crowd) was a proper blow to the morale and any early season optimism. It's still early days but we're coming into this one on the back of yet another new low in our club's history.
