Can we be the first club to come up with a proper chant that around the whole ground, just wall of noise rejects this type of play. UFS? Something that rather than groans, directly, communicates the fing stupidity of it all.

I actaully cant remember a good consistant counter attack, normally we let them all get back behind the ball,  and in the last few years we have had some great opportunities to pounce forward once we won the ball back only to go forward 10 yards and then back 20, all in a slow, lethargic, we have all the time in the world manner

We can’t counter attack with this squad, the kids are brought up with sideways and back and most importantly, we have absolutely zero pace in the team. I watched Fulham last night (even  Fulham!) and they scared me to death with their pace. We can’t live with that.

As for counter attacking football, it would only work in the Premier when teams come at you. In this league we have to mix it up.

Im at the point now where I feel Top and Rudkin are doing this shit on purpose to deliberately piss the fans off. Everyone can see that temu pep ball has had its day, its boring, uninspiring and doesnt work unless you have the finances to sign players with the required skill sets to execute it. 

 

Martin hasn't and probably wont ever change the way he plays. Regardless of fan pressure, booing etc, he believes his ideas work, despite 

 

A. It failed at Rangers and largely at Southampton 

B. Not having the the players in the squad capable of playing this style. 

 

Even with the issues we have in our squad, a pragmatic manager, that would utilise tactics to get the best out of the players we have, would be getting us promoted. 

 

From what we've seen in the opening 3 games, i dont see how Martin will get us promoted. 70%+ possession but little chances created and giving away several chances to the opposition from giving the ball away. 

 

Hope im wrong but just dont see Martin being a fit for our situation or these players.
