True, but the facts speak for themselves. We've lost three of our four home league games, conceding nine goals, and are 2nd bottom of the home league table. We're unbeaten away and are 10th in the away league table. This is continuing a pattern from last season, when we were also better away than at home.

The team clearly has a major problem playing at the KP. We can blame them for being gutless cowards and they can blame us for being toxic, but clearly something needs to change or we're heading straight for another relegation scrap.

We are shit away from home too….. we’ve won one game we probably should have lost. The crowd respond to what’s happening on the pitch…. The boos started last week when things started wrong….. we’ve not played a single decent game, we’ve been shit in every game we’ve played, apart from the one where we played a bunch of children.

If the players are not comfortable with how they are being asked to play then they will not perform to their best level. It's not rocket science. This is all on the manager. Get rid and we'll be ok

We’ve not been great away but our away form is mid-table level and our home form is relegation level. I think this is likely because the players are not confident in the way Martin wants them to play but find it slightly easier to play away when there is less pressure and the opposition give us more space.

It’s pretty simple to make the stadium less toxic, play well and win. We have had an absolute bunch of fairy’s for years now and this is a new squad …

It’s hard for the kids granted, but most of the team are experienced enough to cope

But like a lot of people have said it comes down to the manager , he’s already  fed his players to the lions by calling them out , ultimately he should take the blame

The players are often a symbol of the manager. If the manager uses excuses about anxiety from the fans then the players know it's fair game to do the same.

Exactly, seems that this is the in house excuse as to why we are playing shit.

Going back to the original point, he looks like a decent acquisition, and could be even better with some actual service. Had to keep dropping into midfield to get the ball against Peterborough, which says it all when you have starting players like BDCR in the side.

Thats the issue, they’re not comfortable playing his way, and the pressure is increased at home, because the first mistake gets pounced on by the fans, and, in my opinion rightly so, Martin need to understand this is unacceptable, the players should be wise enough to get that, get that the anger is directed at Martin, not them, it’s like anything, they’re the product of his lunacy, so unfortunately they will also get it.

I agree that Riis looks decent, but it’s pretty alarming Bristric is the only viable back up option. It says it all about how we’re set up to play - instead of healthy options in the striking department, we have lots of midfielders who are more content with passing sideways and don’t know where the goal is.

Lundstram said exactly the same earlier in the week too.

“We train so well Monday to Friday but get anxious on a Saturday!!”.

That’s damning stuff that two new “experienced” signings are saying that.

That’s down to the manager IMO opinion, stop over complicating it, get the players fitter and obsess over winning 50/50’s would see us win more games than this odd obsession of possession with zero attacking patterns.

Really relevant point here.

Why are the players anxious and struggling? The fans getting pissed off when we are yet again 3-0 at home or that they are being sent out to play a system that is setting them up for failure?

The latter causes the former, not the other way round.

Meh could be the manager but this has been going on for years

Riis does appear to be able to represent himself well in what can only be described as a dysfunctional set up.

so it makes you wonder how well he would be able to perform if things start to click…

( or if the manager changes!)

Feels like an adult among kids doesnt it.

I don't know, just seems at a higher level in just about every department.

Must be wondering what he's signed himself up to.

Looks like being our only proper signing

Controversial,  but I actually think Smallbone has potential to be a huge signing if he clicks.

Agree, Riis is levels above any others currently.

Yeah, Chaplin was one i was looking foward to.

Its been quite unfortunate that he's had the injury and has been tarred with the 'sick note' reputation already.

I get it, Seagrave is cursed with injuries, but i don't think he had a bad injury record before arriving?

Hopefully he's just been unfortunate.

Also the players should use their voices to speak up at what’s not working,  They can also use their brain and not play how he wants.  They won’t as they are just yes men.

We have a striker who can get on rhe end of the ball, this should be the first priority, not keep the ball for the longest time away from the area it needs to be.

Said it before but having a bloke up front who can move makes a huge difference to how quickly we can attack. Ayew lumbering around cost us so much last season. I don't know if Riis would have scored the goals but Fatawu and James would've had far better support.

Under a better coach he could score a ridiculous amount at this level.

Yep.

He’d get 30-35 goal involvements in an attacking and direct 4-4-2.

didn't realise he was a quick as he is, I'd like to see him and Bristric together at some point, if we keep playing a back 3 that's more of a possibility
