Let's just enjoy the win tonight and the performances by many of our young players who were excellent.

 

Confidence is growing individually and as a team.

 

If we can win again on Saturday then I can see momentum improving and players getting better as the season unfolds.

A much needed win, but RMs tactics are  playing Russian Roulette with our goal. 

 

We're a bigger threat to our own goal than the opposition. 

 

Page was v.good 1st half but tired 2nd half. We were very sloppy with our passing at times and invited too much unnecessary pressure from it. 

 

If we dont gift too many early goal this season then we should be up there.

Some really nice passages of play, I thought page, alves and braybrooke in particular were great going forward.

 

Souttar put himself about tonight, wasnt in self preservation mode like he started the season and Thomas is a much better centre back than left back, who knew!

 

Disappointing parts for me were we seemed to slow the tempo down second half, a few times we were one pass away from getting in and we turned around and slowed the attack down unnecessarily imo and it almost cost us in the end.

 

BDR involved alot at least but was really poor.

 

Cullen invisible and a proper soft footballer, felt sorry for Bristric he was putting himself about.

 

And fair play to Mccarthy good saves, but also stopped playing as many stupid passes and went long more often.

 

Its a win to build on, loads of room for improvement. I also felt we needed another midfielder to come on, Braybrooke was looking leggy at the end there.

 

Fingers crossed we get a couple of players over the line. Lets at least enjoy a win for once!

Covered pretty much everything I was going to say.

 

Pleased to get a win and hopefully a base to build on. Experienced players really need to get their act together, pedestrian and anonymous.

honestly having Cullen and Reid on the pitch should be considered a failure state. Bristric is still getting up to speed sure, but frankly if the alternative is the throb up front and Cullen behind him then you play Bristric for the full 90 with Riis then taking on the role for Saturday. changes also didn't need to be that early, it's the same as Saturday, forced into an early sub due to injury and he then misuses his second slot and so is stuck for use on his third

He was excellent for someone who is still finding his feet in a new Club and Country. 

 

Had he got the chances Reid got I'm sure he would have scored. But his time will come as he grows in confidence.

Matt Heath on RL is so positive. He has positively wrongly stated (twice) that we’re sat on 7 points from 9 😂 

 

Amazing turnaround considering we only have 5 points in total.

Almost every chance we concede is from giving away cheap possession,

weather playing out from the back or holding onto it to long in midfield,

page was the most guilty of this 2nd half,

why he doesn’t clear his lines aswell in 90th minute and tries dribbling out is just naivety,

braybrooke was good but decision making in final 3rd needs working on,

but it’s all a learning curve for the young lad and I’m sure over time they’ll learn

Emil Riis and Lieutenant Ohora walk into the side even after that win in place of Bristric and Thomas.

I think Bristric Burns and Watson can play the finisher role going forwards.

If Skipp goes we definitely need back up to Page and Braybrooke. They were out on their feet after two.big games in a row. Hanging on at the end.

Youngsters stepping up as we knew they would because they’re very good players 

 

On Martin though, I can’t help but feel like he makes life so much harder for himself with how he’s obsessed with playing.
 

Genuinely think he’d be onto something if he just changed his ways ever since slightly but he obviously won’t

Promising performance after a suicidal first 15 minutes and I think there’s plenty of improvement to come. The young lads look great, we know what we’ve got squad wise and it’s probably time for us all to pull together.

For me what summed up all we ask for, is Souttars marauding run in the 2nd half, went past 2 players, lost control of the ball but put in a challenge that won us a corner

Everyone around me went mental, in the best way

Page, Braybrooke, Alves, Joseph absolutely superb 

Howell played well, glad he got his goal, looks to be growing in confidence game by game 

Luke Thomas get some s*it and at times rightly so, but at CB he’s been more then ok, thought he played really well tonight

Felt for Bristric tonight, put himself about and could(should) have been played in a few times when he had timed his run well

Nice to come away from the ground with a win, clean sheet and a good performance. First half they couldn’t lay a glove on us and we were more than value for 2-0. 
 

Second half was like we’d settled for 2-0 which was frustrating, as were the early subs as it really sucked out any impetus we had going forward.
 

Good performances from Joseph (who could easily be playing in the championship) McFarlane, Page, Braybrooke and the two starting wingers, as well as Thomas looking composed at centre half, I think he’s enjoying the extra bit of time he’s getting on the ball.
 

Braybrooke’s final ball tonight was a bit poor but hopefully that will get better, and if we can be more clinical on the whole we could be devastating.  
 

Bristric starting to find his feet and did some good work dropping deep pulling his centre half away creating some good space. 
 

Great saves from McCarthy at the end, which was pleasing to see. 
 

Game by game, it’s improving and as much as it sometimes puts us under pressure you can half see the obsession with playing out like we do, because when we get it right and break that initial press, the seas part and we have so much space.

Excellent in spells but tired a lot I felt. 
 

The anxiety from playing out was solely down to McCarthy who can’t do it quite frankly

Sides won’t be able to live with us especially in the wide areas when we make changes.
