**LCFC Players Read This*** Teaching Brussell there's better tasting food at the dinner table.

He’s the sort of twat that would drop them. Also do we have any characters in this squad brave enough to have an opinion or bring others together?

Is it not possible he just put it on there as a joke, knowing someone would have spotted it, to get a reaction?

They almost certainly know it exists and read it for fun, but I imagine professional footballers might have a different view of fan forums than users of them do.

A fun idea though. I like the idea that this thread would be used as a direct line to the players.

Hi lads please if you see this you show us a signal by making a “keyboard” gesture when you score in the next game? Oh wait…

I get the point being made, but If LCFC wants to look after the mental wellbeing of it's employees, it would tell them to steer a million miles clear of FoxesTalk.

I mean, I quite like it here, but a lot of the content would be damagingly critical, if you read it about yourself.

Ayew, Faes or Ward logging in (or Cullen, Burns and McCarthy, for that matter) and reading about themselves would not, I suggest, be healthy.

We got rid of them all because they were the bad eggs.

Doubt it matters, the way we are going he'll last what 2 more matches? Convinced he doesn't manage at the KP again.

I don't really understand why people think this? I mean, it is fairly logical but it's against the backdrop of how things have been done here. We've often waited too long to sack managers/line up replacements and that's going to be even worse when Martin is a pet fetish of this ownership. They'll cling onto him for as long as they possibly can

I do wonder about Winks in that respect. Was he just too demanding of standards and got fed up of hitting a brick wall

Exactly that. Whose going to have an opinion and raise it at this club.

Its a dressing room that suits a one dimensional manager.

Over 50% are kids that will do as they're told, the rest is made up of older players that havent played at all for us and just happy to get a run out and new players that have come in for a final pay cheque or on loan so don't really give a shit or dont feel theyve been around long enough to speak up.

The only one thats been here a while and played is Luke Thomas, and let's be honest, he ain't the best so youre not going to listen to him are you.. besides hes grown up with this style of football from manager to manager anyway.

The only way the mould would've been broken was when we bought in Cooper after Enzo. If he'd have just gone direct like he shouldve we could've killed this style off... although Brussel is probably the slowest and worst version of this style.. its all we've done for years.. another mistake by the club because its what Top wants us to do

We won the league without the ball playing direct.

Excluding winning the FA Cup. Our best time under Rodgers was not far off this style, but a lot faster and sharper in attack

. I just dont understand why the club want this passive turgid football it makes no sense at all

But yea, my point is, I agree.. noone will stand up in the dressing room because I genuinely dont think any of them will see it as their place to do so.

If I was being paid £50K a week and played for a club I didn't support I wouldn't give a second thought to a load of keyboard warriors on a forum.

Russell Martin is on 2 million a year so sacking him would cost 6 million

In my eyes its a price worth paying

I’m sure half of our first team players do support us now… Alves, Braybrooke, Aluko, Thomas, Stol, etc

But imo there’s no chance players read this forum.

I know the players read this. I remember an Andy King interview at his gaff back when he was playing where you could clearly see Foxestalk on in the background in a photo.

Why don't you the players start changing the way you play? Start off subtly by agreeing amongst yourselves that you won't play any kamikaze football in the first 5 mins.

Then start trying to bring more and more sane tactics in that actually compliment you as a group?

Brussell can't drop you all can he? (Well actually he could as the squad is big) But if the second group do it as well and we start winning games, Brussell's ego will be taking the plaudits in the media for sure.

Think of it like a Christmas dinner table full of brussell sprouts and you're slowly spoon feeding Martin carrots, potatoes, green beans, turkey, sausages, pigs in blankets, gravy, broccoli etc until he realises there are other options.

Ok but why not edit the thread title to For the Attention of any Players who Read this Forum...?

Always wondered about this.

If the manager is telling you to play a way that you arent capable of and you are playing like a fool and getting embarrassed on the pitch and ridiculed in the media every week..

why go along with it? Scared of being dropped and being known as an unreliable player and this could make it harder to find another club in the future?

Or getting paid no matter how you perform makes you just not care how bad you look or how badly the club that pays your wages is affected?
