There is, I think left back and keeper are still very obvious problem positions that we seem determined to perennially ignore and instead signed a tonne of wingers and midfielders, and we are going to be stuck with a lot of 5'6" waifs for a long time after Martin has gone (signings his fingerprints are all over) but there is a potential first XI that I'd say is broadly very good and potentially even exciting. But he continues to make baffling choices.

Constant rotation of the defence, including twats who don't even want to be here and, in one case, playing someone days before they signed for someone else – seemingly at random is beyond me. Bringing Okoli in today is madness. He has no future here and he cannot kick a football. He could turn out to be complete shite but Kangasniemi should be one of the first names in any team at the moment.

The worst part of today, a bit like Barnsley, is he'll think one nicely worked goal in a shite result justifies his "plan."

Talking of fingerprints all over it, I can’t believe you have to give your fingerprints over now when you get a standard arrest!

So I’ve heard anyway.

Now Posh are my second team and I’ve been down a bit this season as I’m close. Either Savage has made them play brilliant or our utter shitness has. They’ve played nothing close to that standard when I’ve seen them. Maybe a bit of both . I wonder how long we have to be at the bottom of the table before something gs done. That’s where we are heading.

I feel physically unwell. This is what it’s doing to me. I can’t believe how shit this has got. I really wish I didn’t care as much as this. It’s breaking me. I ****ing despise these owners and Rudkin.

However difficult it is to take a break, l reckon you should. Follow a bit of non-league football. I do, never regretted it one bit.

If it's making you ill, that can't be good.

As far as I can see (didn't watch the game but saw the goals), full backs are an enormous problem in this team

When Thomas is the only defender not to be dragged off from the starting XI you know you’re in an almighty hole and I don’t think there’s anyway out of this.

When the defenders have more passes than the entire opposition and spend their lives on the half way line, and the opposition just sit their patiently waiting for an inevitable mistake, you know 'who' the actual problem is.

What was Aluko was actually being asked to do in the first half. The teams priority is not to defend.

Yep, all comes back to Martin and his style

I loved Savage when he was at our club, and it’s crazy thinking about how football has moved on with the amount of subs we now have when it used to be hard to have more than 11 main players, or get regular minutes on the pitch for more than the main players.

I disliked some of the nonsense he’s said as a critic but hats off to him for going to Peterborough and making an immediate impact.

changing the manager is essential but we are in a death spiral which can only be resolved by administration, league 2 and a rise back to the echelons of championship yoyo club.

Ahhh the wonderful days of being a yoyo club, pure bliss, pitches made of mud and center backs who would bury you in it and die for their club, forwards who knew which direction the goal was, heaven

Probably upset some people here, and only saying it because my patience has ran so thin...

But even the likes of Alves...every decision he made was the wrong one.

Im running out of patience will all of them, young and old.

Theres not a single position we look good in. Probably Riis and Page are the only 2 players that look to be playing above their level.

I should've worded it better, I think we'd be better, but I don't think we'll be going up this season. We really have just kept the conveyor belt of over the hell, overpaid rubbish going. People can bang about Martin trying to change the culture and whatever but that culture is directly created by our style of recruitment. It stinks.

Post-match report for The Fosse Way here

“What happens to a fanbase when you subject it to disappointment year after year? When there’s no accountability for failure? When poor standards persist and supporters aren’t engaged with? We’re seeing it play out before our eyes”

Don't begrudge Savage at all. Definitely think his name has carried him a bit quicker up the pyramid than you'd expect but he at least started at the bottom. Genuinely interested to see how he turns out as a manager.

He only seems to have one style of play himself?

I don't really know tbh. Didn't watch any of him in non-league. Intrigued by him though.

Good for him.

An absolute dream first game for him really. His team talk pre match must’ve been hilarious.

I said this last week but opposition teams 100% take the piss out of us in the changing room
