One of the best to ever do it. Chinatown is just a perfect script, and the Last Detail is also brilliant. Will have to rewatch them this week.

Beverley Hills Cop was one of my favorite films as a kid, I loved Eddie Murphy in the 80's

 

I can't believe it's 40 years ago now and 'Axel F' on Netflix was a great trip down memory lane.

 

Same music, same characters, same set, same jokes, same predictable story line, but all good fun none the less.

The new Beverley Hills Cop is pretty entertaining…. Miles better than no.3 any way. Won’t be winning any awards but way better than I expected it to be.

Agreed quite enjoyed it tbh, christ they look old but the had some vibes of first film.

I thought Taggart must be in his 90's but to my surprise, he's only 76

 

Which means in the original, he was 36!

Only watched it once and was absolutely blown away by it. Need to watch it again. Love Alex Garland's directorial work (though haven't seen Men yet).

Definitely a repeat watcher given there’s all sorts of theories about the storyline

Watched Jackdaw last night and absolutely LOVED it. Really wish I'd seen it at the cinema instead of Netflix.

John Ashton is great in another 80s hit, Midnight Run, same director as the original Beverly Hills Cop.

Hitman. Really enjoyed it. Loved by critics but then has had lukewarm reception by the public. Thought it was a pleasant enough 7/10 with some funny bits and some quite philosophical points thrown in too.
