I could not have enjoyed Predator Badlands more. An absolute banger, and a particular treat for anyone who grew up loving Predator and Aliens

Its somehow more badass than the original but funny and heartwarming at the same time, which was totally unexpected. It also has the hardest 12A rating ever - kids, prepare yourself for a lot of beheadings.

Watched both Smile and Smile 2 over the weekend. Enjoyable, with some very good jump scares.

Theoretically, the franchise can run forever.

Personally, I'd like to see a Smile: Origins.

Seen the new Now You See Me film today.
Mrs loves them so went to see it even though I’m not a massive fan, I’m even less a fan now as they’ve just re hashed the other two with a worse script and worse actors.
Mrs was happy though so all good. 😊

The Running Man.

I did enjoy it, though the ending was poor IMO. Edgar Wright has an endings problem. Not his best work, though I did love the feel of the film which felt much more authentic than the other film.

I hope his next is with Pegg and Frost.

Worse than Jesse Eisenberg?

Wow!

Wasn't as good as the first 2, ending I wasn't a huge fan of but still a decent watch throughout.

Apparently Wright, Pegg and Frost have said they are working on a script for an upcoming movie so we will see in years to come.

Absolute shite compared to the Arnie version and doesn't end on this banger either

I watched train dreams on Netflix over the weekend.

Dark and not overly eventful but I thought it was really interesting and it was beautifully shot.

Saw Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair last night at the cinema. Masterful filmmaking.

Do they show it fully uncut with all the blood and gore?

Of course. It’s The Whole Bloody Affair! There were plenty of extended or new scenes that I didn’t recognise, though it’s probably been a good decade or more since I sat down to watch them properly.

There was also a brand new chapter after the credits that was animated by the people who make Fortnite, written by QT and with voice acting by UT.

Night of the Comet  (1985) – part of my quintessential 80ies LA trilogy, alongside Repo Man and Live and Let Die in LA.

Underrated movie, starring Catherine Mary Stewart and Robert Beltran (Chakotay in Star Trek Voyager).

I remember loving that movie, way back when.

Might have to see if I can find it.

Finish work at 12 tomorrow and then off to watch the new Avatar!

Will probably end up seeing it two or three times at the cinema over the Christmas break lol

Just because of the four different Avengers: Doomsday trailers, I reckon.
