Late to the party as usual but finally got to watch End Game, which I thought was chuffing brilliant, funny and sad at the same time. Haven’t seen captain marvel but kinda sussed out what she was all about. 

 

I see see there’s a new Spider-Man film coming soon and maybe a third Guardians but is that it after? Had a butchers on wiki but it seems to end with Spider-Man.

Black Panther & Captain Marvel we’re both amongst the best debut movies in the MCU. People just either hated a woman being the lead or had a weird problem with the world being excited about a predominantly black cast. Both weird

Haven't seen Cpt. Marvel so no comment on that but Black Panther was full of inconsistencies, more than we've come to expect from the MCU and had at times cringeworthy sfx. It's not racist to acknowledge that or be a bit bemused that it got a free ride from so many people just because of the predominantly black cast (which, if anything, is the racism at play here).

What I found weird last night was people's reactions to the final act of Endgame. 

 

Honestly I cannot see where the emotional impact it had on people was coming from.  There were people audibly crying, something I've never witnessed at the big screen, even for more emotionally driven films.  Crazy.

 

For me it was American OTT patriotism at it's finest.  I've seen 18 of the 22 movies in the franchise and I don't get that reaction at all.  

 

Endgame itself was good, it redeemed itself well after that curveball start, something Last Jedi never did for me, but ultimately it fell a little flat imo.

Personally i think it’s weird people won’t accept criticism of black panther just because it has a black cast but hey ho.

Watched Mid90s over the weekend at Phoenix. Coming of age film set in LA. Written and directed by Jonah Hill. Pretty edgy but really enjoyed it. Beautifully shot and the soundtrack was epic!

Got to see end game today really enjoyed it. Didn’t expect to see some of the things happen that did as managed to avoid any spoilers so was glad about that. Waiting for the new spider man now enjoyed the last one so hopefully this one will be just as good. Hopefully if there is another guardians to. Not seen captain marvel so may have to try see that at some point

Avengers end game, what a let down, it was so cheesy.......sentimental nonsense was so pointless.  

 

The thing I enjoyed the infinity one is because it was so not cheesy.
