Let's have a films thread.

Went cinema to see Pet Semetary last night. Was decent enough. Could have done with more jumpy bits but not bad anyway. Booked my tickets to see Endgame on Saturday. Cant wait for that.

Flying to Australia in 2 weeks and having looked at the entertainment on the plane their are films that released in cinema I wanted to see but never got round to. Bumblebee and Spider-Man, into the spider verse will knock off a bit of the travel time.

Well, it was released in 1975, so you're both older than you think.

The fact that it is reviewing so highly is worrying.  I'm not watching anything to do with it in the run up to seeing it as such massive hype where movies are concerned rarely warrants it.

Yes good reviews are never a good sign

They can make as many superhero movies as they want (and I'm sure they will). But none of them will ever come close to Richard Pryor wearing a big foam cowboy hat as Gus Gorman in Superman III.

Strapping giant folding wings to Michael Crawford in Condorman comes a close second

There were some awful movies in the 80s, though it was the decade of the first truly good superhero film.
