That Cocaine Bear stuff is just a gross exploitation of something which is actually very sad. Crass, opportunistic, lowest common denominator ‘cinema’ that will be lapped up by idiots.

Not sure I follow, gross exploitation of what? Pretty sure the bear will be cgi. Even if it's based on a true story, can't imagine much in the film will be true to what really happened, though until this trailer I never really considered a coked up bear maybe it would be like that. I enjoy watching stuff I can totally switch off to that takes absolutely no thinking or brain power.

Which brings me on to the film I watched today. Troll on Netflix. Popcorn flick about a troll being disturbed in the mountains, thought it was quite good for what it was, the effects were very good, story was a bit clichéd but I like trolls so. 7/10.

I find it sad that something which I believe is actually very tragic has been turned into some awful, low level exploitation cinema that will make an exorbitant amount of money. But like I said, some lap it up. I don’t find it funny at all. As if anyone would want to see that or find it funny.

Had the misfortune of watching the recent blatant Russell Crowe-directed / written / acted vanity project "Poker Face" on Sky. "Decent cast," I thought...

Rubbish. It had no clue what it was trying to be, and for something that was billed as "set in the world of high-stakes poker," there was about 3 minutes of poker in the whole thing.

2/10 just because Crowe is likeable as an actor.

Brilliant news! They probably could have anyway, but with this much time passed, they can basically follow the same formula without messing about too much and have a guaranteed hit.

I reckon despite the first film seemingly not meeting their expectations at release, there seems to be a pretty decent audience for a second one now. I didn't see the first at the cinema, but would definitely get out the house for a sequel.

I watched The Third Man last night because it's supposedly a classic. Fvck me it was boring.

A long time since I saw it but I remember really liking it. I thought it was better than Citizen Kane any way.

I like a lot of the classics but I too am not a big fan of The Third Man either.

Not a film but boy would it make a good one if done in the same vein as Casino etc.,

Mcmillions on prime tells the story better. Bizarre how long he was getting away with it.

Do not have Prime but this would really make a good movie, the mob, years of theft, how the FBI caught them and then him using his knowledge to broker a deal, just wow.

Finally watched Silver Linings Playbook. Loved it.

Also took me a few years to get around to it.  Glad I finally did, because it is great!

I enjoyed this... more than i expected i would. It is of course ESSENTIAL that you are fully familliar with the original.

This does a very good job of staying true and in many ways replicating. It is of course crap, but if you, like us have the xmas tradition of a christmas story.. this is equally simple, harmless and pleasant.
A Christmas Story 2022' HBO Max Review: Stream It or Skip It?

(i watched on a dodgy website)
