I tried to enjoy glass onion but couldn’t get past Daniel Craig’s bizarre accent.
It really got on my nerves for some reason.

It’s actually my favourite role I’ve seen him play and would happily see them make another 10 movies if they maintained this standard. Horses for courses I guess

We’ll apparently there are going to be 3-4 more of the Knives Out films!

1917 is on BBC1 right now, so almost certainly on iPlayer.

For me, it is cinematic perfection.

That's a very bold statement.

And very wrong.

Don't get me wrong. I do like it but although a cinematic marvel I think there are certain holes in the story that have been noted by military experts that make it harder to suspend disbelief. I have a avid interest in WW1 so welcome anything that raises interest in others. Kubrick's Paths of Glory is still the benchmark for me.

Flicked over and it's literally the last scene and then the end credits lol

Had the chance to be an extra and missed it. One of my big regrets in life.

Oh man - that would’ve been pretty epic.

Have you done any others?

To be fair, I'm not sure you can say he's wrong to say it's perfect for him...

One person's best film ever can be another's steaming pile of shite.

A bit like with terrorists and freedom fighters, but less dangerous and more entertaining.

Just my opinion, which is of course the only right one :D

Glass Onion:

It was ok, but it kind of lost me when it had that really long flashback. Took ages to get back to the main story and by then I was bored with it as it was all too convoluted. The reveals were fine but I was just happy it was over.

Also...

Norton could still have claimed it was all their word against his and he still could have ruined them all and said they ganged up on him for revenge. So I wasn't happy with the ending. Also, destroying a priceless work of art because she was angry. What a cvnt. Deserved everything she got IMO and I was more on Ed Norton's side in the end than anyone else's!

Christ really?

I enjoyed the first one but thought Glass Onion was drivel of the very highest order.

Watched 21 grams on netflix (or prime, I forget) ...complex l, non linear timeline but really absorbing. Plus Naomi Watts' fabulous boobs.

Rewatched my surprise fave of the year, The Unbearable weight of massive talent. Great stuff from Nick Cage

Watched Prey last night after a few beverages.  I thought it was very decent.  Excellent cinematography and Amber Midthunder was captivating, or maybe I've just developed a crush on her.

Thanks for posting. Might try a few of these that I’ve not seen. Did you not fancy Elvis ? Best film of the year for me
