Probably first ever since, I was toddler. I have a had a whole year not going to the cinema. So sad, just the problem is there's been nothing on that appeals to me. I just feel hollywood and the cinema dominated by the superhero genre, nothing else gets a look and is forced to take the netflix/streaming route. Looking at the films to come the next likely film I want to see won't be coming out until June 2023 what is Indiana Jones 5.

Every time me and the Misses have checked out what’s on at the cinema it’s always rubbish or cartoons.

Agreed, anyone who is ''into marvel'' over the age of 16 needs their hard drive checking

Go to your local independent mate. Almost always something new on that is usually overlooked by the Multiplex’s. Phoenix always have good stuff. Broadway in Notts and Showroom if you’re in Sheffield.

Jerry & Marge Go Large, with Bryan Cranston, Annette Benning and Rainn Wilson.

Its a true story about a retired mathematician that finds a flaw in the Massachusetts lottery. He ends up winning a total of $27m with the help of his friends in his home town.

It's a safe easy watch and a nice story. One to put on when you don't want to have to worry about what to watch, and want a reasonably feelgood story that isn't too long or complicated.

I enjoyed it. 7/10.

It's on Paramount+. They have a free 7 day trial, or you can get a months free with qualifying Walkers crisps purchases (99p-£1.99) - https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/broadband-and-tv/tv-moneysaving-tricks/#paramount

Ok, my brain saw this as Jerry and Margo, and I thought this must be a really weird US Good Life spin-off movie. You know, the 1970s sitcom.

Then I saw what it actually says. Gotta say, I'm now a bit disappointed...

Non-superhero non-franchise films I've seen in the cinema this year:

Moonfall

Everything Everywhere All At Once

The Bad Guys

Bullet Train

Where The Crawdads Sing

Nope

Fall

Beast

The Lost King

The Menu

Really enjoyed all of them for different reasons and can think of a fair few I wish I'd gone to see.

Completely agree that it's oversaturated with superhero content though. But there's plenty of original films out there from really exciting talent that deserves to be seen.

impossible... no-one could play the "sweetly pretty" Felicity Kendall... or Richard "Sugar-Flavored-Snot" Briers.

This looks completely ****ing ridiculous and I will of course be seeing it as soon as it comes out.

Ha ha it looks amazing, in a brilliantly stupid and terrible way.

Great to see Indy back! but wow 15 years and this long plus leaving it as late as Harrison Ford reaching the age of 80. Trailer looks exciting already looks better than the Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, Soon as you seen Shia LeBouf if I spelt his name right... you knew the new film was heading down the pan. Looks like they've kept him out of this... save move. Seeing a young indy in the trailer, does look interesting idea and possibly a sign of where future is heading. Just imagine another Indiana Jones film could be made without Harrison appearing it, they could just CGI is likeness into the movie.

Rumours that the test screening didn't go well which is concerning.

Looks great , as a massive Indy fan I’m just hoping it’s better than the last one which I can’t even watch again but from this trailer it has the look of a film which gets it and may possibly bring a tear to my eye

Please god don't kill off Indy, we've already seen the death of 007. Lets have an happy ending, I don't even care if it finishes with him handing over the the trademark hat.

IF they have taken the top gun 2 route of simple concise story, mostly practical effects/stunts, then maybe Indy 5 could work. But with an 80 year old lead actor in an action film and George Lucas involved somewhere down the line I fear cgi overload which is so not what these films are about.

Isn't it being set up for Phoebe Waller Bridge to take over...?
