On the supermarket topic - people that stand annoying close behind you in queues as if its going to speed something up. When they do that I make a point to not move forward for as long as possible. Personal space goes out the window when people are impatient.

Further on checkouts...

Get out your purse, wallet, phone, cash, card or whatever implement you are going to pay with.. BEFORE the checking is finished. I mean surely its not a surprise that you are going to have to pay.

Doesn't bother me, but reading the above just makes me wonder why people don't just use scan as you shop (if available).  Literally chuck the items straight into the bag in your trolley and then you walk out.

I wouldn't mind if they put it in the right bins, but recycling waste in my general waste bin and general waste in my recycling bins?!? :dunno:

It all goes in the same pot eventually anyway.

People with laminate, tile or wood floor in cold houses that insist on taking your shoes off. Yeah I'll just freeze my feet on your cheap wipeable surface thanks.

Obviously houses with carpets, or any flooring when the house isnt stone cold, are completely acceptable. Same for any house that offers slippers.

Haha, my parents always bring their slippers when they come round:P

That's why we have underfloor heating under our tiled conservatory and kitchen floor.

And it certainly wasn't/isn't cheap. Although I'll give you "wipeable".

I hate wooden floors with a passion. My next door neighbour has them throughout and you can hear him clomping about constantly.

Carpets FTW.

Shoes in the house is proper disgusting behaviour. Apart from the few occasions I’ve gone into real tip houses and don’t even want my socks touching any exposed area.

Also, those that know the person serving and start a conversation after they've paid, along the lines of, 'How's your Sarah?'

It was my first public outing as a grumpy old man when this happened to me whilst waiting to be served, as I made my displeasure quite clear.

This is what i think too, but that's my opinion.

Suppose it depends on how you were raised and in some instances cultural differences.

In my home, take your shoes off at the door area.

If you wear shoes in your house, then I will wear shoes in your house.

Respect the homeowners view point on this is what i say.

Should I take my shoes off?

No. It’s fine. We just keep that shoe mountain near the door as an abstract piece of modern art. Of course we’re happy for you to traipse about our home in your disgusting dog excrement laden streetwear, you lazy, inconsiderate, inbred dickwad.

You people. 🙄

Oh I think you lot are misunderstanding my point, I am definitely pro shoes off in most environments.

But if someone invites you to their cold house and it has ice cold flooring and insist on you taking your shoes off without offering something to cover your feet then that's very selfish hosting. If you've been before and its a bit more casual then fair enough, bring a pair of slippers but if it's someone's house for dinner for the first time then yeah it's selfish on the hosts part.

Fair enough. I keep a pile of hotel slippers at the front door for this instance and wash after every use. Especially if guest has no socks and takes that as a sign they can keep their shoes on. No way, get the slippers on mush

In a branch of Tesco near me, 7 of the 8 checkouts are currently card only. But does that stop some of the thoughtless card payers from using the one and only card-and-cash checkout when some of the other machines are available? Nope! Imo, there should also be checkouts that are cash only, to stop those who wish to pay by card from holding up the queue of folk who wish to pay by cash.

It feels as though those of us who don't want a Clubcard either are discriminated against twice - once by the price differential on Clubcard discounted items and secondly by our desire to pay by cash.

Middle lane hoggers on the motorway.

I dont get it, its a more strssful drive for me in the middle lane than overtaking and moving back to the left lane.

The language people use needs to change from slow lane and fast lane to overtaking lanes too.

Yep, I don't get it either.

How have so many people learnt to hog the middle lane, too? There should be more said about it.
