AjcW Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 How come everyone loves London THIS!! Im going for Newcastle. Mainly the quayside(Left and Right side), love it down there, its probably because all my family are up there that I love going so much, I dont get to see all of them very often so when I get to go its always a pleasure.
Alexikokopops Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 How come everyone loves London THIS!! Because I've lived here for long enough to form my own opinion that is different to yours.
AjcW Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 THIS!!Because I've lived here for long enough to form my own opinion that is different to yours. I wasnt aiming that at you. Im aiming it at people who dont live there and love it off so much.
StanSP Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 Changed my mind to London. Copy cat . Haven't used that term in ages haha
potter3 Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 Woolacombe. It has..not much. But it has enough, in addition to a fantastic beach
MPH Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 Barmouth beach or Scarborough sitting outside davie Jones locker on a hot summer day....
Raj Posted 13 October 2009 Posted 13 October 2009 How come everyone loves London THIS!!Because I've lived here for long enough to form my own opinion that is different to yours. Londons full of Gays like Marsh! Cant beat Beaumont Leys. Serious-Norfolk Coast
Bellend Sebastian Posted 13 October 2009 Posted 13 October 2009 The Lake District. Without a doubt. Oh yeah. Wasdale in particular
Rocket-Ron Posted 13 October 2009 Posted 13 October 2009 Barmouth beach or Scarborough We used to holiday alot in fairbourne over the "afon" My in-laws have a place in Abersoch. The Lynne peninsula is a lovely place also,Mountains and sea
Bryn Posted 13 October 2009 Posted 13 October 2009 Probably the Lake District too, love it, just has this great atmosphere and life style. I also adore Hull, such an underrated city. Also really fond of the east coast seaside resorts, such as Whitby, Scarborough and Bridlington.
James. Posted 13 October 2009 Posted 13 October 2009 London for fun and life generally. Birstall for my Dad and overall nostalgia. Lake District for beauty and calm.
Jon the Hat Posted 13 October 2009 Posted 13 October 2009 On a sunny day Kynance cove is top drawer. When the wind is up got to be Cape Cornwall. Rugged coastline, little fishing boats, whitecaps and a very reliable Peregrine Falcon.
purpleronnie Posted 13 October 2009 Posted 13 October 2009 Dartmoor National Park, The cornish coast, Arnside, Derwent Valley. We still have some of the most beautiful countryside in the world.
Lillehamring Posted 13 October 2009 Posted 13 October 2009 How come everyone loves London i lived there for ten years on and off, and it's not like any other city in england, and not even that comparable with similar sized cities elsewhere in the world... in a sense, i think it's is the scale of the palce that is its true magic and also its greatest horror... i gave up, simply because it was just overbearing and crowded and stressful (the population of norway is nearly half that of london) but if that is something that excites you, there are few places like it
purpleronnie Posted 13 October 2009 Posted 13 October 2009 Loved living in london too, beautiful green city, always something to do, fab!
Fosse Boy Posted 13 October 2009 Posted 13 October 2009 Bowden Fields. I've always liked York as well.
Thracian Posted 13 October 2009 Posted 13 October 2009 Cornwall is so special. I spent my honeymoon as an 18-year-old at St Ives http://images.google.co.uk/images?sourceid...ved=0CCwQsAQwBA Kynance and Sennen Cove are lovely but I do remember being left spellbound by the beauty of the cliffside Minack Theatre where the floodlit nighttime performance was enjoyed against a backdrop of passing boats and the whole washed down by a picnic of wine and cheese. http://www.viewsofcornwall.com/viewphotoplace/74/ Despite my teasing of Finners I've enjoyed wonderful times in Wales and would happily play out my golfing days overlooking Snowdonia and Harlech Castle on the coastside Porthmadog Golf club. http://www.porthmadog-golf-club.co.uk/ But for the ultimate in peace within an inspring setting I would, given chance, buy Brantwood, the former home of John Ruskin overlooking Coniston Water in the Lake District with what is surely one of the finest views in the British Isles. http://www.visitcumbria.com/amb/brantwd.htm
