Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 29 November 2009 Posted 29 November 2009 According to todays paper (NOTW), if we want Cleverley, we'll have to get through Newcastle first as they are interested in taking him away from his current loan deal at Watford and bringing him to St. James' Park.Would Man U sell him? What is he worth do we think? He's pretty much proven at championship level I would say. United would probably be looking at 750K - 1 Million given how he's playing for Watford and his age I'd think.

In my opinion we only have 2 championship standard c.forwards in the squad in Fryatt and Waghorn and he is on loan. We must spend in Jan to have any chance of finishing in the top half and pushing for the playoffs. Priority 1 : an energetic tough tackling c.midfielder Priority 2 : a tall strong goal scoring c.forward Priority 3 : a right back, good on the ball with pace

However where we'll find an affordable 'tall, strong, goal scorer' i've no idea. And i'm not sure we need another forward anyway, unless Waghorn goes of course, which would be a disaster. and yes a back up keeper. anyone that isn't Conrad Logan.

Grella who plays for Leeds would be a cracking signing, possible too he's normally on the bench for them, looked like a great player against Kettering, yes it was only Kettering but it think he could be quality.
