Same place, 58 years apart. And guess what, the 2nd one has much more capacity..

When I was a Gateway Grammar school in 1970 we had the first ever school computer in the city. It took up almost an entire classroom and took almost an hour to load and solve a mathematical question. And that's all it did, maths. 

 

The questions were on hole-punched cards. You had to feed the cards through some device that could recognise the pattern of holes which would then, eventually, print out a sheet of the calculations and the answer.

 

I think it was called COBOL.

He got that a bit wrong....

Miniaturization and mass production did alter the pricing somewhat.  There is a great one where McKinsey, the masters of bigging up their business genius calculated the US market for mobile phones at around 900,000 by 2000.  It was 109 Million.
